“It might not be a bad idea,” Danny piped up.

“You shut up. She is not getting in the ring.” Mark seethed, pointing his finger at both Danny and Rick.

“Now wait a minute.” She frowned, anger surging forward.

She knew that he was jealous, and that he was always trying to protect her. But there was a line in the sand.

And he had just crossed it.

“Oh shit. You did it now.” Danny chuckled shaking his head and walked out of the room.

“Do you trust me?” she said heatedly.

“Of course.” He scowled at her.

“Then what is the problem?”

“You want his hands on you?” he snarled, and she could see the signs that he was starting to get mad.

She didn’t back down though.

“Mark.”

“No,” he snarled again, getting up and in her face.

She tried to keep her anger leashed, the last thing she needed was for Mark and her to go at it in front of everyone, but him getting in her face was not helping.

“I’m the only one that is allowed to touch you.”

“Allowed,” she said slowly, drawing out each syllable.

Did he really just say that?

Rick muttered a ‘fuck’ before he too started to depart the room.

“Rick,” she called out after him. “Can we start tomorrow?”

He nodded at her, trying to hide a smirk. “See you in the morning doll.”

He turned and left. The door wasn’t quite shut before she could hear him laughing. Leaving her with a fuming Mark.

He gave her a withering stare, the anger in his eyes glittering and growing the longer she continued to meet his stare. Muttering a curse, he grabbed her hand and marched them up the stairs to their room.

Neither one of them said anything, both of them too mad.

Once in the room he spun her, turning to lock the door. It was like the lock was a trigger.

She lost it.

Let the anger flow.

“How dare you!” she seethed

But he wasn’t about to let it go.

“You are not getting in the ring with him.” He crossed his arms and leaned against the door. The pose was anything but casual with the rage pouring off of him.

“Yes I am. If it will help me fight better …”
