His eyes flared at her words. “You don’t need to fight.”

Save her from fucking stubborn men!

“Apparently I do. ’Cause I’m about to smack you upside the head!”

His face twisted with a cruel smirk. “Try it, sweetheart.”

“You’re being mean on purpose.” He stood up at her words. “What is wrong with me getting stronger? You know what this could help me with,” she stated hitting the nail on the head.

“You want to learn to fight, that’s fine. I’ll find a woman, or I’ll show you. But you are not getting in the ring with another guy.”

“What the fuck …” She was baffled.

What was his deal? It was Rick.

“Don’t cuss,” he muttered warningly.

“Excuse me?” She gasped, her anger hitting a new peak.

“I don’t like it.”

She paused, wondering if he could see the steam coming out of her ears. “Like I said … What the fuck Mark! It’s not like I’m going to fuck him!”

At her words he charged right up to her.

One hand went to her stomach pushing her back against the wall, while the other slid into her hair, fisting and pulling her head back.

Hard.

“Fucking right you won’t. You’re mine!”

“What is your deal?” She tried to scream at him, but it came out breathy as desire slid through her.

Damn the effect that he had on her!

“You’re mine, little bird. Nobody else touches you!” His hand slid down between her legs, his cruel smirk fueling her anger, but her body betrayed her as she arched slightly into him.

“Nobody else touches you.” His legs slid in between hers.

“Nobody kisses you.” He pulled her up higher, hitting her right where she needed him.

“And nobody else fucks you,” he seethed and a breathy moan left her.

“That’s right,” he muttered, some of the anger leaving his gaze.

“Mark.” She moaned, so close to the edge.

“That’s right. I’m your Mark. Yours. And you’re mine.”

Then he kissed her.

His lips hitting hers hard.

Demanding she let him in.

Demanding she take him.

And she reveled in it.
