CHAPTER NINE

Sienna

I still can’t believe not onlyone, but three very attractive firefighters heard me rambling to my mom about not liking sex or having much experience in that department lately.

Somehow, I left the conversation feeling determined to move forward and not be embarrassed about what was revealed. The fact that those three men have such a direct line into my psyche should be alarming, but instead, it’s reassuring.

Hadley and Evelyn scream beside me, drawing my attention back to the softball game before us. Austin, Evelyn’s dad, sent a ball sailing into the outfield. He’s rounding the bases, barreling toward home plate.

Evelyn completely loses it when he scores the game-winning run. Her juice box goes flying in the air, sending a spray of apple juice that covers me and Hadley. We both laugh it off as we cheer the men on.

The rest of the team, including Tucker, Warren, and Grayson, all congregate around Austin. They all start jumping around in unison.

Evelyn takes off in a whirl of brown hair as she sprints onto the field. Hadley grabs my hand, pulling me along behind her.

I really don’t want to be getting any closer to the three men who have starred in my fantasies this past week.

Being at the game was far closer than I should have allowed myself to be. Being mere feet away from them is probably not the best choice.

Even though my eager pussy would probably sing a completely different tune.

Hadley releases my hand when Brooks sweeps her up in his arms, which leaves me there staring at the group of men still jumping around like they won the World Series.

Grayson and Tucker are both celebrating loudly with everyone while Warren is standing more to the sidelines with his son in his arms. They’re both quietly laughing to each other.

My eyes bounce between all three of them. Flutters erupt in my stomach.

What the hell is wrong with me? Am I so starved for affection that the small amount they all showed me at the gala sent me into a tailspin? I need to get out live a little, if that’s the case.

Duh. Obviously, it is.

Needing a moment, I walk back off the field. I find my way behind the opposite dugout and into a small alcove that offers a little hideaway from everything going on.

I rest my head back against the scratchy bricks and let my eyes fall shut. Inhale. Exhale.

“Sienna,” a deep voice startles me, but I don’t open my eyes. I know who it is.

“Are you okay?” Warren continues.

“Yeah,” I say. My eyes remain closed.

“You sure about that?” Grayson says, which makes my eyes snap open.

Warren, Grayson, and Tucker all stand before me.

“So, the sound of my voice is irritating enough to make you open your eyes?” Grayson asks.

“Maybe,” I say, trying not to let my eyes roll back like a petulant teenager.

He gives me a small smile, like our snarky back and forth is giving him life.

Ugh… When did this banter with him become addicting and not aggravating?

“So, we have a proposition for you, Sunshine,” Tucker says.

My head quirks to the side. “Okay,” I drag out the word. “What’s the proposition?”

Tucker glances at the other two men before focusing back on me. “We all heard what you said the other night about not liking sex, for the most part.”
