Friend. Are we friends? That’s news to me.

“But isn’t it Fox’s party?”

Blaze smiles.“I’m the vice president, so I can invite whoever I want.Don’t worry about Fox—he’s not the boss of me.”

I sigh, my nerves kicking in.“Fox doesn’t like me.”

“Why would you think that?”

I shrug.“He’s always a jerk.”

Blaze chuckles.“He’s a jerk to his friends, too.Don’t take it personally.”

I raise my eyebrows at this new piece of information. So, Fox is just… always a jerk?Even to his own friends?

“So, you’re coming, right?”Blaze presses.

I let out a sigh, then nod reluctantly.“Fine, I’ll go.”

He grins.“Good.I’ll pick you up.”

Just then, Landon comes back to the table, stopping short when he sees Blaze.Blaze stands, giving me a small, satisfied smile.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, Cam.”He gives Landon a look, who watches him walk away, and then slides into the chair Blaze just vacated.

“What was that about?”Landon asks, raising an eyebrow.

I look down at my notebook, a bit of dread creeping in.Going to a frat party with Blaze tomorrow… I have a feeling I’m going to regret this.

Curiosity Meets Danger

“No,youdidn’t!”Landonexclaims, eyes wide with disbelief.

Honestly, it still feels surreal.I can’t believe I agreed to go to a frat party with Blaze. And not just any frat party—Fox’s frat party, with Fox’s best friend. This whole thing feels like a setup for disaster.Nerves churn in my stomach. What if I embarrass myself?I barely know anything about parties, let alone frat parties.

“He was…” I sigh.“Blaze was kind of charming, and he—”

“Hold up, ‘charming’?”Landon raises a brow, smirking.I roll my eyes, feeling my face heat up.

“Yes, he’s good-looking.Even a blind person could see that. But don’t read too much into it,” I say, sighing.Landon nods, smirking.

“And so now you’re going to your roommate’s frat party with him, how… wonderful.”He says it with a loaded tone.

“Come on, it’s just a party, Landon,” I say, rolling my eyes.

“I want you to go,” he says with a soft smile.“Honestly, I think you should go and have fun.And even though I don’t know Blaze well enough to trust him completely, he seems to like you.I’m sure he’ll take care of you.”

“I’ve never even been to a party before,” I admit, biting my lip.

“Yeah, I’m not surprised,” he laughs.“Look, there’s one rule I want you to scrape into the back of your head: never take drinks from strangers. You don’t want to wake up in some strange place—or worse, kiss a random stranger.”

“Ugh, that’s one of the main reasons I avoid parties,” I mutter, cringing.

“Then don’t accept drinks from strangers, and you’ll be fine.”

“Fox told me he doesn’t want to see me at his frat house.”
