And judging by the amount of alcohol theyseemed to have consumed, it could have gone either way.

Especially since no one else seemed tothink it was odd and Wade was giving him cheerful encouragements and politereminders not to curse at it…the floor?

By the time they’d headed out the back dooragain and were crawling across the patio, I was still stumped but had to admitit was the most interesting night out I’d had in ages.

“So the crawling?” I glanced at Silasbecause he seemed to be the best at deciphering their behavior.

He snorted. “They’re secret agents and thefloor keeps moving.”

Okay.

Tristan was up next. “Their lack of clothing?”

No one seemed overly concerned about thenaked thing, so I had to assume it was either fairly common or they’d justgotten used to it because of the club.

“Could Austin have crawled in a dress?” Iwas trying to figure out the mechanics of that when Silas chuckled. “He coulddo anything in a dress and heels, but in their drunk logic I’m sure theythought it was entirely reasonable.”

As we walked back through the house towardwhat seemed to be the main living room, we saw them go back into the poolhouse, one by naked one. When the door closed behind them, I turned toward theother alphas again. “Are we supposed to check on them or…”

I wasn’t sure what the rules were.

Shane shook his head. “Generally not untilmidnight or weird phone calls, whatever comes first.”

“They won’t die of alcohol poisoning bythat point, will they?” I couldn’t resist the urge to look back toward the poolhouse.

Silas shook his head as I glanced over athim. “No, I took most of the booze out of the pool house.”

“Then how are they that drunk?”

“Moonshine.” The answer rang out as achorus before they laughed.

I raised one eyebrow. “Didn’t you tell themno more moonshine?”

He shook his head. “Not this time. I simplytook the bottle he’d left in plain sight and said he didn’t need it and gavehim a lecture on it.”

I was missing something. “And?”

Silas rolled his eyes. “And that way theyonly had the bottle from wherever he’d squirreled the other one away. If he’donly had a single bottle, he’d have hidden it better.”

They all had the most interestingrelationships.

“And when you go out later and surprisinglyfind out he’s been disobedient?” I should have expected the answer when Silasgrinned.

“Then I get to spank Trouble and probablydig the cage out again. It’s been a few days since he was locked up.”

Silas’s response gave me a little moreinsight about what my slightly vanilla-looking omega might have wanted me tolearn tonight. Yes, part of it had been about giving me a chance to find myplace in his fascinating family, but I’d known that a good part of it would beabout him showing that he trusted me and was trying to open up.

I just hadn’t understood what he would showme.

“Let’s go finish the movie.” Shane lookedout the window one more time before looking back at Silas. “You’ll reset thealarm?”

When Silas nodded, we started headingtoward the stairs that led to the basement. I thought that was all theexcitement for the night, but I realized I was wrong when Tristan turned to me,grinning. “So when they ask you later about your intentions and why you love ordon’t love Wade, what’s your answer going to be?”

I wasn’t sure what to say to that, but whenall of the men laughed and nodded, I realized it wasn’t a joke. “We haven’treally gotten to that part of our relationship yet.”

Silas scoffed as we got to the basement.“Amateur.”

He was starting to get on my nerves. “Howabout patient and polite? Wade is a widower and I’m the first man he’s datedsince Matthew died.”
