“Agreed. I’ve also been looking into someof the campaigns of a few local elections, here and in neighboring states. Ifound a few people I want you guys to look at too. I’ll email you the names, but I’d love to see what you think of how they're phrasing their omega rightsplatforms.”
I liked some better than others, and a fewjust came off as incredibly annoying, so they probably wouldn’t make it veryfar no matter how much money they had in their campaign coffers. But even if Ijust found a few in every region who would see things more reasonably, it wouldhelp in the long run.
“That’s a very long-range plan.” Dakota wasmaking notes in a small book he always carried around. I couldn’t decide if hewas thinking about a book or about the legal ideas.
“Nothing short-term makes sense.” I shrugged.“I’m open to ideas, but some of it will depend on how the lawsuits go. Peopleare still very uncomfortable about sex, so charging into it headfirst didn’tseem like the best course of action…or at least, that’s what my lawyer said.”
I wasn’t sure I agreed with him, but hisexplanation made sense and he hadn’t tried to talk me out of it.
Dakota nodded, still looking thoughtful.“Have you only looked at smaller elections? Is there a national candidate wholooks like a good fit or should we be looking to pick someone else to give thema push?”
“Huh?”
Tanner chuckled at my response, but heleaned back again in his seat, watching Dakota like he’d said something verycurious. “Do you think that’s a good idea?”
Shrugging, Dakota looked too calm to havejust said we should find someone to get nominated for president. It wassomething we’d teased about, but I hadn’t taken the idea seriously. Dakotalooked very causal about it as he started to speak. “I think it’s always bestto fight things from different angles. Yes, we need to start local and getaverage people thinking about this. But making it a national topic or evenmaking sure the power structure at the top sees it the same way we do would be beneficial.”
When we just looked at him, he snorted.“Please. You two have more money than half the world, and between all of us, weknow all kinds of people. Sure, we might not have the money you do, but namerecognition and contacts are also important. I think with a few well-placedcomments in the right places, we could bring attention to a good candidate.”
I clearly hadn’t been thinking big enough.
That wasn’t usually my problem in asituation.
Tanner nodded slowly, but it was athoughtful gesture, not agreement. “Let me think about it. None of us have beenthat into politics outside of local elections.”
Because we all had our hands full witheveryday life. Who had time to handpick the next president? I still had a suitthat had been at the dry cleaners for a week that I couldn’t remember to goget.
We were all still mulling over Dakota’sidea as Jonah and Graham arrived, walking in at the same time. Smirks litteredthe room as we all guessed what they’d been up to. Graham had apparentlyoffered to pick Jonah up since his car was in the shop, but I wasn’t sure thatwas the whole story and Jonah was adamant they were just working closely on theclub.
Jonah grinned as he looked around. “Youguys look like you're up to something. What did I miss?”
Graham was trying not to grin, but thenBradley answered with a flat, deadpan voice. “Planning our world dominationthrough picking the next president, and Austin admitted he’s in love with Silasbut so far he doesn’t seem to have told Silas.”
Jonah nodded like it was a completelyreasonable answer. “You can fill me in on world domination later. Right now I’mmore curious about how the love thing is going.”
I laughed. “How is my love life moreinteresting than world domination?”
He waved his hand like I was crazy.“Because I know you can easily take over the world, but falling in love is awhole different ballgame.”
And wasn’t that the truth.

“Okay, I like it.What do we think?” I glanced around the room at a sea of nods and smiles.
“I think it’s going to work.” Tanner lookedthoughtful, reaching out to point to the littles’ playroom. “I just want tomake sure we get this space right. We don’t have any personal experience withthis. I don’t want to screw it up and alienate possible members. We’re takingeveryone’s kinks and preferences seriously and they need to see that.”
“You worry too much. It’s a playroom andnursery with furniture for big kids. This isn’t hard.” The playroom wasdefinitely going to be easier to plan than the world domination they were stillhinting at.
Bradley snorted. “Then you get to be theone to design that room.”
I shrugged. “I have the best taste anyway.”
Graham coughed, but he didn’t quite coverthe laugh enough. “I have a few friends in the lifestyle who might be able tohelp as long as we’re careful with their privacy.”
That got everyone’s attention. Grahamstarted squirming as he looked around, realizing how much he might have givenaway. “It’s not me.”
“Of course not, sweetie.” I reached overand gave his head a pat. “We know you’d be a better Daddy than boy. I can’t seeyou being the obedient type.”
