Rolling his eyes and sighing, Graham tappedthe paper. “Focus.”
He was really starting to get to know us.
So of course I had to mess with him…andJonah. I winked at Jonah and gave Graham a dirty leer. “Wouldn’t he make a sexyDaddy? Can’t you just see it?”
Graham blushed.
It was the cutest thing ever.
Jonah threatened to throw his drink at meand narrowed his eyes. Yeah, he wasn’t hiding his interest in Graham very well, but it felt like there was something standing between them. When they eachthought the other wasn’t looking, they would cast longing glances. It was sosweet.
But why were they hiding it?
There was no way Graham was vanilla enoughthat the BDSM thing would be an issue. Jonah wasn’t into anything crazy. Hejust wanted to be able to focus on his alpha and submit completely. Grahamcouldn’t have a problem with that.
Was he seeing someone?
Shane had said he was single, hadn’t he?
But even I knew it wasn’t the time to ask.Graham hadn’t reacted well when he’d ended up backed into a corner at thewarehouse, so I wasn’t going to push him. He seemed like the type you needed toapproach with caution or he’d spook.
Yeah, something was up there. But it wastime to focus back on the work because Silas would be here any minute and he’dsaid he had a surprise. I was hoping for something wicked. “I don’t mind doingthe research for the littles’ playroom. I’m sure Silas can help as well. Heknows all kinds of people.”
He’d already offered to help but hadn’twanted to overstep. I kept saying he worried too much, but he said he didn’twant it to look like he was pushing in on my work projects. I wasn’t surehelping out with the club counted as work, but I appreciated the sentiment.
“So did we address everything that weneeded to so we can get the plans finalized?” Being honest with Graham hadcreated more work than we’d realized. Once he’d grasped what the final projectwould be, he’d insisted on going through every detail again to make sure it wasthe right fit for a BDSM club.
It’d been a good idea because we’d ended upchanging a few things, but I was ready for the planning phase to be done.
Graham nodded. “I think we’re ready.Tanner’s office has helped smooth the way for the permits, so all that’s leftis to get the mockup done and show you how it will look. I want to make sure wehave it all ironed out before we start.”
He was such a worrier.
“Perfect.” But I’d had enough time aroundother worriers to know when it was best to let them go through their checklistsand when it was time to barrel through them. We were still at the checklistphase with Graham.
I’d run over him later.
Tanner seemed to like how thorough he was.So I’d wait until they were getting antsy too before I pushed. I had enough onmy plate to keep me busy and we were still on track. “Okay then, we’ll meetagain next week and see the final plans.”
Then it would be time for the fun part.
I could see most of the rooms in my head, but there was a lot to put together. Looking over at Jonah, I met his gaze. “Doyou have time to get together next week and look at some furniture with me?There’s a restaurant supply company I want to go visit. A lot of their stuff isonline, but I want to check the quality and see how some of the furniturefeels. There are also a few commercial furniture showrooms about an hour fromhere if you have time.”
He chuckled. “Just a few errands, huh?Sure. My car should be out of the shop by then if you want me to drive.”
His old car was going to die a sad clunkydeath at some point. I shrugged, trying not to look too dramatic. “Sure, that’sfine, or we can use one of mine.”
Silas had thought the driver was a goodidea and he’d even stepped up to talk to Tanner about it so I didn’t have to.However, he hadn’t liked any of the people Tanner and Wade had found. I wasstaying out of it because no matter who they picked, the driver wouldn’t likeme anyway.
I just appreciated Silas being there toscare them into being nice to me.
He’d promised no more assholes and I knewhe’d do his best to make sure they were at least professional with me. Thatwould be a huge step in the right direction, so I wasn’t going to ask for more.
Tanner cleared his throat. “You might notbe between drivers for long. I think we have a good candidate.”
Oh goodie.
That even sounded sarcastic in my head. SoI tried to put on a better front. “Great.”
