“He might surprise you, though.” Dakotareached out and grabbed his drink off the table. “Are you going to see himagain?”

Jonah nodded. “He asked me out to dinner. We’re going to that Mexican place next Saturday and then to the movies.”

Conventional, but not necessarily a baddate.

“How’s the chemistry?” That was theimportant part.

Jonah glanced around the room. “Anyone needanother drink?”

We all groaned, grinning. Bradley chuckled.“That bad?”

Sighing again, Jonah shrugged. “No idea, hedoesn’t think the physical side of the relationship is the most importantaspect, so he doesn’t kiss until he’s known someone a month.”

“What?” I must have heard that wrong.

We were all in a similar state of shock.Jonah started laughing as he nodded. “That was my expression too. I mean, I getthe new moral movement that they’re pushing, but that just seems…”

“Insane.” Tanner and Wade shot me a dirtylook. “What? I’m not going to downplay how crazy that is. Unless he’s superreligious or something, that’s taking the insanity too far. And really, if he’sthat religious, he needs to date people who are into the same thing he is.”

To each their own, but that didn’t mean Ihad to agree with it.

Just like my kink. They didn’t have toagree with it or get it, but they shouldn’t tell me how I should live my life.

“He’s not religious. His parents were justpart of that abstinence movement ages ago and they haven’t mellowed much.”Jonah winced. “Let’s just say I haven’t volunteered to meet them yet.”

I cringed. “Oh, that’s just…”

“Run.” I’d been trying to find a way to bepolite, but Bradley evidently didn’t care.

“Yes.” I pointed to Bradley and reached formy wine glass. “What he said.”

I was a “whatever makes you happy” kind ofperson, but telling people that sex was a distraction to society and that for arelationship to be truly happy they could only have sex when they wanted kids wasinsane. They were such staunch believers they didn’t even want married peopleto have sex for pleasure.

Wade cleared his throat. “Is he…well, doeshe…”

I rolled my eyes and jumped in. “Is he asnuts as his parents?”

Wade nodded and pointed to me. “What hesaid.”

Jonah started laughing. “I don’t think so.He seems to feel guilty that he’s not a believer like his parents are, but hedid say he thinks it’s an unrealistic life for most people.”

“Uh, can you imagine being married tenyears and still having to sleep in twin beds when you go over to his parents' housefor the holidays?” I knew most people weren’t asinterestingas I was,but that was just taking boring to a whole new level.

Jonah looked slightly uncomfortable again.“Um, I’m pretty sure he said that his parents had separate bedrooms. So theymight not even let us sleep in the same room together.”

Some people were so weird.

“I hate to be a downer, but I’m pretty surehe’ll never get the kinky stuff if he’s guilty about wanting sex with hisspouse.” At least he wasn’t as insane as some of the guys we’d dated. “But it’sgreat that he’s nice and you’re having fun.”

Wade nodded. “Maybe given time, you couldch—”

“No. We don’t use the C word.” I shook myfinger at Wade as everyone else clucked their tongues like he’d been a naughtyboy and laughed.

“You know better.” Dakota gave Wade anoverly dramatic disappointed look. “Do we try to change the crazies?”

Wade sighed. “That wasn’t what I was goingto say.”

“Suuure.” Bradley rolled his eyes.
