“Did she ever tell you much about him or show you a picture of this guy?” Pratt questioned, writing down in her notepad.
“Just that he was some guy at SDU, supposedly a freshman. They were supposed to have met him a week or two ago, but he never showed up when they went to the local coffee shop.”
“Wait, the local coffee shop was two weeks ago. I ran into them when they had told Sheila they were going to be studying at the library. They claimed they were grabbing some coffee before they went home.” Shane said, looking over at Pratt and York.
“Taylor, you said you saw a photo of this Stewart guy?” York asked, looking hopeful.
“Yeah, I think I still have it on my phone, let me check.” Taylor looked through his phone then showed it to the three women.
“Son-of-a-bitch!” Pratt and York said at the same time.
“What?” Shane asked, looking at the photo confused.
“Taylor, I’m going to forward this photo to myself.” Pratt said as she forwarded the photo to her phone. “Thank you, you’ve helped us so much.”
“Actually, I have one question, Taylor, did Dakota ever tell you any of the things they talked about?” York asked, staring at the photo for a bit.
“Yeah, I thought the guy was a little weird from some of the things he said to Dakota.”
“What things?” Shane questioned, tilting her head to the side, looking at Taylor.
“He would ask Dakota what she thought of being tied up, spanked, gagged, things like that. Tina told her that sounded like he was into something called BDSM or hard-core play. He claimed he was something called a dom or a master, whatever they call it.”
Shane looked at Pratt and York worried when she noticed the look of concern on their faces. “Could this be why they started doing all that research?”
“Taylor, did either girl mention research or maybe sneaking in some place?” York asked, looking at her phone when it vibrated.
“I know she started reading a lot of books recently about BDSM. I overheard them discussing the books. I don’t really remember what the names of the books were other than the main one being that ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ because it was so popular and all the hype around school.” Taylor said, blushing as he looked at his parents.
“Okay, thank you Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Evans, thank you for allowing Taylor to talk to us. He’s helped us more than you know! Mr. Danvers, thank you for your assistance as well.” Pratt told the room, shaking everyone’s hand.
Chapter 16
York, Pratt and Shane returned to the office. Everyone seemed to notice the tension York and Pratt radiated off the bat when they entered the room. Pattrick, Eddie, and Wolf looked at Shane confused even more so when she just shrugged at them.
“Lass, what happened? Did the lad have anything that can help?” Highlander inquired to his wife.
“He had plenty!” Pratt said as she dialed a number on her phone.
“Hey Red, I got the photo that you ladies sent me. It’s been enhanced recently.” Tex said when he answered the phone.
“Enhanced?” Shane questioned in confusion.
“Updated, whatever you want to call it. The photo is about twenty years old. They fixed it so that it looks newer.” York answered, backing Tex’s statement.
“So, you two recognized the photo when Taylor showed it to you.” Shane concluded, slumping down into a chair when Pratt and York nodded.
“The original photo was taken in the 90’s. The kid in the photo was seventeen at the time it was taken. His name is Phillipe Rubalo, a French national who now lives in Amsterdam. The photo has been used to lure girls and younger women. We know for a fact that at least five women were kidnapped using that photo.” Pratt informed the room.
“So we can assume it was either Asia or Peter who did the luring.” Rameriez concluded what everyone was thinking.
“Yeah, but this also tells us that this is a bigger ring than originally thought.” Sgt. Brocard sighed.
“What?” Rocco questioned out loud.
“Look, we know Jennifer, she could never pull this off alone, even with the help of the two men who took Tina and Dakota. There is someone else who is the mastermind that orders these flying monkey’s around.” Cortez surmised everything up for everyone.
York’s phone vibrated again. She looked down and read the text message. “Mother fucker! Just what I thought!”
