Thirty-year-old Creek Waters grew up believing in signs. Such is life when you’re born and raised in Jamaica. Paying attention to the signs is one of the key lessons in life that her family instilled in her every day. That’s why Creek loved the water so much—she was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. As a little girl, you could always catch her swimming in the ocean. Things changed when she saw a tourist surf for the first time. Her heart swooned, and it was love at first sight. Every chance she got, she imitated the tourists surfing until one kind stranger showed her the ropes, and she then found a new passion.

What was supposed to be cupcakes and fun for her sixteenth birthday turned into a voodoo manhunt, causing her to flee the island and never look back. When her feet touched the surfing capital of the world, Creek knew she had found a home. After years of practice, she became one of the best surfers during the day and the hottest DJ at night. Life goes by when you’re busy having fun, so Creek wasn’t prepared for the handsome and mysterious hotel connoisseur Pryde Magers to take an interest in her. One look into his russet brown eyes and the same butterfly effect she got from surfing appeared.

With an epic first date out of the way, Creek and Pryde both feel motivated to keep pursuing each other, but Pryde has a very big secret he has yet to share with Creek. He’s scared because he’s not sure how she will take his lifestyle. However, with Creek’s best friend’s brother constantly interrupting their one-on-one time and a dangerous enemy from the past lurking, Pryde is forced to tell Creek his secret in the most terrifying way.
