And now Mark had Winter.
Then there was him.
He knew better than anybody that change was hard, but he also knew that it was possible.
He had watched it with all of them.
Had even seen it in himself.
An image of bright copper hair and a smiling face filled his mind. She was so beautiful, but when she smiled. It was something else.
His Jill.
They all had a lot to lose.
Including him.
“Dominic man.” He signed then went for broke. “For years I have followed you. Watched as everyone followed you. We bled for you. Mark bled for you. He did time for you and your family.”
Dominic’s head lifted, the bleakness in his gaze eating away at him.
“You said it yourself, Dominic. It’s family. It’s messy and complicated. But it’s fucking everything.”
“I just don’t know what to do. Everything seems to be falling apart.”
“So stop trying to do it all yourself. Stop acting like this this is the Familia, and treat it like what it is. Family. And with family you help each other. You trust each other. And yes you fight, and bicker, but it doesn’t matter, because it’s family. Let us help. Let us help get him back. Let us help save this family,” he pleaded.
“We’re a family, man. That means all of us, not just one person,” Rick remarked from across the room
Together they could do this.
Together they would put their family back together.
“Family,” Dominic whispered his head down, but then he was standing.
Adjusting his suit and he knew that Dominic had made the right choice.
That family was everything.
That was the man he knew.
“Call Sergio,” Dominic demanded standing up tall, and Rick quickly picked up his phone as Dominic walked over to him, placing his hand on his shoulder squeezing lightly.
“Thank you, Danny,” Dominic whispered, meeting his gaze.
He just nodded back.
“Let’s go get Mark back,” Dominic said.
