I turn around to face him, and it hits me yet again with how attractive this man is. He is every girl's wet dream. His 6’4 frame, broad shoulders and hair up in that man bun, with that beard - he gives Jason Momoa a run for his money. In fact, if Jason were here right now, I’d still pick my Dec.My Dec. I need to get that out of my head - that is something he will never be.

My mouth runs away with me before I can get my thoughts together. “Jeez, you look hot. I'm half tempted to cancel with the girls and spend the night showing you how attracted to you I am.” What’s the point in hiding it? Looking at him standing there all dressed up, dark jeans and a t-shirt, that’s all it takes to get me wet. You'd have thought we’d have had enough by now, gotten it out of our systems, but our attraction for each other isn’t waining at all.

I see his eyes flare at my comment and smirk as I know I have his attention. “Jesus, Sophie, my dick is gonna fall off due to overuse.”

“Oh yeah, because it's always me that’s begging for it,” I say sarcastically.

He raises his eyebrow. “I don't recall ever begging.”

“Hmmm, I could quote you a few times, but I won't embarrass you.”

He grins. “Anyway, looking like you do, I might agree with you. I presume with the dress you're wearing that you’re helping guys at the pub out, so they don't have to use their imagination what’s under there.”

I immediately look down at my dress. “What are you talking about? It's perfectly decent!”

His eyes slowly rake down my body, then back up to my eyes - I can see the heat in them. “Sophie, it clings to every fucking inch of your body.”

“I’ve never had any complaints about this dress before.” I turn around and check myself in the mirror. It’s a dark blue body con dress. It’s knee-length, so not showing any leg and yeah, fair enough, there is alittlecleavage, but nothing indecent. He’s being overdramatic.

“No, I bet you fucking haven't.” He mutters as he turns around. “Come on. Everyone is at the pub already - of course, they're waiting for you.”

“Hey, perfection takes time.”

“Why won't you listen to me when I tell you that perfection is you just out of the shower, no make-up with your pyjamas on.”

“Because you're after something when you tell me that.”

“Babe, I don't need to sweet-talk you - I know that’s on tap anyway.”

“Hey!” Rude! I mean, he’s right, but...rude!

“Am I wrong?” he quirks an eyebrow.

“Shut up,” I say and grab my things.

We walk into the pub together, and I see a few heads swivel our way. It's a local pub where everyone tends to know one another or at least recognise faces. Maybe some of the regulars haven't heard that I moved into Dec's place and are wondering if we’retogethertogether. He guides me in with a hand at the small of his back. I look around and see the girls in our usual spot.

Dec leans into me. “I see the witches coven has gathered in its usual meeting place. Jack and Denny are at the bar. I’ll see you later. yeah?”

I turn and stick my tongue out at him, witches coven indeed!

I approach the girls, and Mia wolf whistles as I do. “Yey, you brought a treat.” She shouts, meaning Dec.

“Down girl. Pour me a drink.” I say as I take a seat next to Robyn.

I smile at Robyn. “Hey gorgeous, how’s it goin’?”

I don't get to see her at work anymore. I miss her, she’s volunteering at the local school, she has gone back to college to finish her teaching degree.

“Good, thanks! I see you walked in with my future brother-in-law. How’s that going?”

I glance over to see him slapping Denny on the back in a manly hello gesture. “Yeah, good. He’s a saint to live with - he’s hardly ever in, plus I'm out a lot with working and the pub. But yeah, all good, he’s a lifesaver.”

He really was. I'm still in the mess I'm in, and my dad is trying to sort himself out - not without a couple of blips here and there - but things are good in general.

Mia pipes up. “How do you do it? Live with a guy who looks like that and keep your hands off him?”

I try to think of the best way to handle this. Too late. She reads it all over my face that I haven't kept my hands off him or anything else for that matter.
