“Where do you think we're going?” I asked a short time later when we were still gliding through the open night sky, with nothing but the stars and clouds for company.

“No idea. Are you okay?”

“I'm fine. Tired. My body feels like jello,” I admitted with a soft laugh. At least it appeared Sloane wasn’t going to drop us.

“We're descending now,” Fish commented.

The world beneath us started growing larger, second by second. A mountain seemed to be our destination.

Please, stars, bring him back to us.

“If he tries to hurt you, I will do what needs done,” Fish suddenly murmured, a solemn look on his beautiful face.

“What? What do you mean?”

He shook his head sadly. “You know what I mean, sweetheart. I won't allow you to be hurt or killed.”

“And I won't allow you to do either to him!” I cried in outrage.

He sighed. “Let's hope it doesn't come to that,” he muttered as we landed.

She smells so good. Smells so mine.

Landing on one foot, careful not to crush my treasure, I placed them on the grass. Tilting my head, I flicked my tongue out, acquiring more of her sweet scent. My chest rumbled in satisfaction. They were still tied together, both of them gazing up at me with wide, scared expressions.

She smells like a demon. He smells like a man. They smell delicious.

I lifted my claw, reaching for the bundle on the ground, and she squealed when I sliced through the vines that secured them. He hopped up, reaching for her, but I was faster. This treasure was now mine.

I snarled at the man as I backed him up, away from what was mine.

“Sloane!” he yelled.

Who?

I huffed at him, smoke billowing from my nostrils. The idiot tried to charge forward, towardmyprecious treasure. Plucking him from the ground was easy enough; I'd just have to make a cage for this man. After all, he was a pretty little treasure himself.

The female cried as I held the man captive, but I paid that no mind. The sooner I secured him, the sooner I'd be able to fulfill these... urges.

I breathed out a circle of fire, and gently dropped the man into the center. He cursed and shouted and carried on, but there wasn't a fucking thing he could do now.

“Sloane, please,” the female screamed from behind me and I whipped my large body around, looking at her form. Green iridescent wings, small black horns, a tail... but those weren't the most interesting features. Her full breasts were nearly exposed above her black top, one of the shoulder straps sliced already. Her hips flared in a way that assured me she was the perfect mate. She'd be able to take me.

“Sloane,” she whispered, backing away from me as I stalked her. She was like a butterfly—I'd captured her and now I'd admire her beauty for all my days.

The pretty female backed up against a tree just as I reached her. I tasted her fear on the air, but something else as well. Her love. Love for who? The man in the fire circle?

I thumped my tail in fury. No. This female was mine. Before she could react, I gently sliced a claw through her top, catching her undergarment as well. Her heavy breasts tumbled out and I growled in appreciation, my heart racing within my massive chest.

“Sloane,” she whimpered. “Please, come back to me. Come back to us.” She was staring right at me, but her words made no sense.

Reaching for her ankle, I tugged and she slid down the tree. I could hear the man in the distance, causing all kinds of ruckus.

“Don't do this,” she cried out, smacking me on the snout. I snorted at the audacity. My claws made quick work of her pants and I sat back on my haunches to admire my treasure.

“Don't you remember me at all?” she whispered, tears on her pretty red cheeks.

Remember her?
