A few minutes go by, and Lulu talks to the guys while we wait. I don’t feel ignored exactly; her hand is still tightly in mine, I just feel a little out of place. She’s been with these Alphas for a little while now. They’re a pack. I’m just the new guy.

No. I can’t think of myself that way. I’m Lulu’s, too. Just as much as these guys are.I’m not going to let any insecurities influence my decisions.

The car pulls up, and I open the door for Lulu. “Thanks.” She smiles.

I smile, giving her a wink.

She slides in, and I nod for the guys to join her. “I’ll take the front.”

The whole car ride there, I’m watching Lulu from the rearview mirror. And she’s watching me, smiling.

I feel like a young boy with his first crush. I want to know everything there is to know about her.

The address the guys gave the driver takes us to this fenced-off compound, and that’s when I remember these guys are a part of an MC. A real-life MC.

A little bit of unease fills me. This world is a hell of a lot different than the one I’m used to living in. I’m not sure how to act.

I guess just not stepping on anyone's toes and being respectful would be a good start.

We get out, and Lulu is at my side again, slipping her little hand into mine. “Thanks for coming tonight. Not going to lie, I’m glad Ally insisted. I think I’d be going out of my mind if I had to be away from you.”

“Is it crazy for me to be feeling the same way?” I ask, voice gruff.

“No,” she laughs, shaking her head. “I think that’s how this whole scent match thing works.”

“Don’t remind me,” Brady grumbles.

Lulu’s face falls. “Baby, why don’t you let Gavin handle things and go back to the bus?”

“I can’t,” he sighs heavily. “We have to talk to Dad, fill him in on everything.”

“I can do that part by myself,” Gavin says. “Why are you even here? Go. Get back in that car and go see your Omega.”

He looks from Lulu to Gavin and back to Lulu. “Are you sure?”

“Man, if you don’t, I think I might have to kick your ass. The idea of Ally being in any sort of pain from being away from you makes me pissed.” I raise a brow.

“Fuck,” he groans. “I didn’t even think about it. I’m going out of my mind right now. I can only imagine what she’s feeling. God, I’m an idiot."

“No,” Gavin tells him. “You're an Alpha who’s going through a lot of changes. But we’re going to get through it together. We’re a team. A pack. I have this handled.”

Brady walks over to the car and says something before stepping back from the car while it drives away.

A growl builds in my throat, thinking he’s choosing not to go to Ally when he goes over to Lulu to kiss her. “Be good, Doll Face. I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?”

“Yeah.” She smiles. “I love you.”

“Love you more.” He kisses her again before jogging through the open gate.

“Where is he going?” I ask, confused as to why he’s heading towards his place rather than away.

“Has to get his baby,” Gavin chuckles.

“Baby?” What the fuck is he going on about?. He has a kid?

A few seconds later, the sound of an engine revs and lights appear. Brady zooms past us on a motorcycle, giving us a quick wave as he goes.

“His baby.” Lulu giggles. “Sometimes I think he loves that thing more than me,” she sighs.
