He says nothing, his attention landing on something in the crowd, a low growl leaving his chest.
My eyes scan the crowd, trying to find who he’s looking at, and I find Brady. He’s standing in the front row next to Gavin.
He’s watching Ally with this look of awe and wonder in his eyes, and I can’t help but smile.
Because I know exactly how he’s feeling. She has that effect on me, too. Always has.
In any other situation, I’d be jealous and hurt. But all I feel is excitement about what’s to come.
Some people say you can’t have your cake and eat it too, but fuck them. I think after everything I’ve been through in my life, I deserve the whole fucking cake and some cupcakes too.
It’s been gnawing at me that I was going to have to do my best to try to get over Ally in order to give my relationship with Gavinand Brady the best chance I could, and to give them my whole heart like they deserved.
Now, I don't have to. Because the universe decided to give me a damn break for once in my life.
I’m really starting to kick my own ass for not going to see her while she was working on Maya’s movie. If I knew this is how things would have ended up, I’d have been with her sooner and not lost another year where we could have been together.
I watch as Ally dances around the stage, a big smile on her face, full of energy. She’s glowing, happiness radiating off of her in waves. She’s an angel.
She moves towards the front of the stage, and the fans go wild, holding their hands out, trying to grab at her. She stays just out of their reach, walking along the front of the stage.
When she gets to Brady, she stops and grins down at him. He looks up at her, a grin playing on his own lips as she sings, hypnotized by those ocean eyes.
Another growl leaves Liam, and I roll my eyes. “Not you too.” I spin around, crossing my arms.
“What?” his eyes flick down to mine.
“This whole jealousy thing can’t happen, I hope you know that. I’m sure Ally will agree with me on letting some of it slide with all of this being new, but I need you to know that I won’t let anything ruin the chance of me being with Ally again. No one understands just how much that girl has meant to me. And I spent way too fucking long without her to lose her again after just getting her back. That includes jealous Alphas who don’t know how to share. Having two Omegas in a pack isn’t going to be easy, I know that. But we need to make this work.”
Liam’s jaw grinds together. “I’m not jealous.”
I snort a laugh. “Yeah, then why do you look like you want to go out there and punch my Alpha in the face?” I raise a brow.
His nostrils flare. “I do not.”
I can’t help but smile, shaking my head. “Keep telling yourself that, big boy.”
“I’m not jealous,” he grumbles.
“Oh, babe.” I place my hands on his chest. “You are so jealous. But it’s okay. If you're a good boy, I’ll even consider sharing my Omega with you, too.” I wink.
His lips part in shock.
“She’s not yours. She’s mine,” he growls.
“I’ll fight you for her.” I lift my chin. “Right here, right now. Let’s go.”
A curve lifts his lip, and a deep, warm chuckle leaves him. “Oh, you two are really going to give me a run for my money, aren't you?”
I lick my lips, looking him over. “I think you can handle a little more work,” I smirk. “Looks like you’re used to it.”
He steps closer to me. “Why, Lulu, are you flirting with me?”
“Maybe.” I shrug.
“I can see why she’s never been able to let you go,” he says, reaching up and tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. “I wouldn’t have been able to either.”
All the air leaves my lungs, and I’m hit with the urge to cry. I’ve spent so much of my life believing I wasn’t worthy of love. Now, years later, I’ve found a whole pack of people to call my own.
