I opened my mouth to say something, but Seojun turned on his heels and left me standing there. I didn’t understand what was happening and the fact that Seojun wasn’t talking was pissing me off. The moment he saw me talking to Cindy and Sandy, he flipped out, but why? How did he know them and why was speaking to them a problem? I had so many more questions, but I obviously wasn’t getting any answers at the moment. Maybe when we all got on the plane, Seojun and I could talk in private so we could get down to the bottom of this issue.

After gathering our bags, Raheem got us back to the plane. I had hoped to see Seojun at some point, but the entire ride back to Philly, he was nowhere to be found. Hell, even Raheem wasn’t speaking to Akira. I know I was upset, but Akira was more vocal about her anger.

“We’ll be landing in fifteen minutes,” Raheem said, walking past us.

“Bet! So you have fifteen minutes to tell me what the fuck is going on before I lay my hands on you.” Akira spat.

Raheem looked back at her which caused her to look him up and down before she stood and got into a fighting stance. Raheem sighed with a shake of his head before going back towards the front of the plane.

“Scary hoe.” Akira shouted, plopping into her seat. “This shit is stupid. How are they going to be mad, but not tell us why they mad?”

“Right! The whole situation is bullshit, but apparently, there is nothing we can do until Seojun explains what’s going on.”

Akira frowned as she reached over and grabbed my hands. “Love I am sorry about all of this. You gave yourself to that man and now he’s acting like…this!”

I gave her a tight grin. “It’s not your fault K. Seojun needs to be a man and come talk to me. That’s all to it. Maybe he used to date either Cindy or Sandy? I mean, why else would he flip out like that?”

Akira shook her head as she crossed her hands over her chest. If Seojun thought he could treat me like the scum on his shoe, then he was sadly mistaken.

Chapter 32

Luther

“Stupid bitch!” I shouted as Bruno’s phone shattered across the floor.

“Damn bruh! You had to throw my phone?” he grumbled, walking over to inspect the damage.

“Shut your bitch ass up! If you hadn’t lost Addison’s ass the other night, she would still be right here! Now, she’s fucking married — to Seojun, of all people!”

“The shit is wild!” X replied, running his hand down his beard.

“Fuck! This bitch has fucked up my money.”

I paced back and forth in my office. I was finishing up with the contract for Mr. Omba when I was blindsided with two text messages. First, Mr. Omba sends me a picture of Addison and some man hugged up. Then Sandy sends me a picture of Addison holding up her marriage certificate. I should’ve known her ass wasup to something. As soon as I told her that her freedom was just about up, her ass does some dumb shit like this.

My text notifications were going off, causing me to stomp to my desk and snatch up my phone.

“Fuck!”

“What’s up?” Olivia asked, staring at me with confusion.

I briefly closed my eyes before opening the message; I knew this shit was coming but hoped that it didn’t.

Mr. Omba: Consider our contract null and void. Also, I will no longer continue my business with you and Ms. K.

I felt my stomach begin to knot.

Me: Hold on, Mr. Omba. We have been in business together for years. Are we going to throw that away over one woman? I can get you somebody else!

My heart hammered against my chest as I waited for his response. Mr. Omba was our only client and that was the majority of our income. I mean, yeah, we had the brothel houses, and I kept a few of Seojun’s massage parlors opened, but they weren’t making us anywhere close to the same amount of money as me shipping people to Mr. Omba. All of the women, with the exception of Cindy and Sandy, that used to work for Seojun were in hiding under a fake name. So, the women and men I had as their replacements weren’t bringing in as nearly as much revenue. Hell, I wouldn’t be able to run the Cobras with that small set of income. To be honest, I didn’t understand how Seojun was able to have all of that money and was able to pay his workers.

Mr. Omba: Luther, I was only giving you a courtesy text message before I spoke with Ms. K, but my decision is final.

I tried to reply back, but the text message didn’t go through, indicating that he blocked me. Rage boiled throughout my body. Addison landed three days ago, and all hell had broken loose.

“What happened?” Olivia asked, rubbing my back.

I shrugged her off of me. “Fucking Addison! She went and got married and somehow her buyer found out. He just ended his contract.”
