He chuckles. “Yup.”

A sexy soul jam blasts through the club. I catch Tyler giving Gage a look. “I’m glad Millie is having a good time, but I’m not really in the mood to watch my cousin get worked over by a half-naked dude.”

“Me neither. Wanna grab a drink at the bar?”

“God, yes.”

“I’m coming with you,” Austin says.

Tyler claps Gage on the back. “We should shotgun a beer for old time’s sake.”

Gage rolls his eyes. “No way.”

“Just one.”

“I said no.”

“You’re too stubborn for your own good, little brother.”

Gage doesn’t even acknowledge Tyler and instead turns to check on me. “You’re okay staying here?”

I nod. “Yeah, I’m having a great time.”

He grins wide before giving me a quick kiss. “Need a drink?”

I shake my head. “I’ll stick to the alcohol-free stuff. Solidarity with Millie and all.”

He leaves me with a kiss on my forehead and a smile that makes me melt. I catch Maya glancing at me. She steps closer to me. “I’ve never seen my brother smile this much.”

There’s a tingle in my chest. “Really?”

She nods. “He’s always been so serious and brooding. You make him so happy, Becca.”

There’s a warmth in her smile that sends a thrill through me. “He makes me happy too. Like, so, so happy.”

Part of me feels weird talking about how much I like Gage with someone I’ve just met, who also happens to be his sister, but the other part of me feels excited. His siblings and cousins have been so welcoming to me, treating me like I’m a member of the family when they’ve known me for less than an hour.

But I guess that’s a testament to how kind they are. And it makes sense because Gage is the same way too—incredibly sweet and supportive of me from the get-go, even before we were a couple.

“I know we literally just met,” she says, “and I know he’d kill me for saying this, but I have to. My brother hasn’t been the kind of guy who brings the people he’s dated around our family. He’s only done it, like, twice ever. And that was years ago—one time in college and one time after that. And that was after all of us had badgered him to let us meet who he was dating. I’ve never seen him so relaxed and happy in a relationship before.”

What feels like a million tiny fireworks explode in my chest. “Seriously?”

She flashes a warm smile. “Seriously. He’s nuts about you.”

“Oh damn,” Declan says, staring ahead at the stage. We both look over and see one of the dancers kneeling between Millie’s open legs and pressing a kiss to her knee before kissing her swollen belly. Her head falls back as she shrieks and laughs.

“Yes, Millie! Get it!” Maya screams. Declan and I yell, “woo!” The performance ends, and Millie returns to our area.

Her tan skin is flushed ruby red, and she’s breathing a little harder than before. “Well. Holy hell.”

Gage, Tyler, and Austin return with their drinks. Gage takes in his cousin’s dazed stare. “Did you have fun up there?”

“A blast.”

As the next performance starts, Gage settles next to me. “How about you? Are lap dances your thing?”

The corner of his mouth quirks up into that sexy-as-hell smile I adore. “Honestly? Not sure. I’ve never had one before.”
