I steal another glance at Blaze. He’s laughing at something Fox said, but there’s a tension in his posture whenever his eyes flicker toward us—or, more specifically, toward Landon.

“I can help,” I offer.

Landon looks at me skeptically.“Help? How?He likes you.Isn’t that… complicated?”

I roll my eyes.“Not as much as he wants you.I’m with Fox now, and Blaze knows that.Trust me, he’s rooting for me and Fox.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah. So stop being a pussy and talk to him.”

Landon narrows his eyes playfully.“Since when did you start swearing, Mr.Goody Two-shoes?What did Fox do with your mouth all weekend?”

I bite the inside of my cheek, trying not to blush.I’ve been replaying moments from the weekend in my head all day, barely able to concentrate in class.Brenda arrives with our drinks, snapping me out of my thoughts.

As we step outside the café, I notice Fox and Blaze following us.“Are they tagging along?”Landon whispers.

“I don’t think so,” I reply, though I’m not entirely sure.

Landon heads toward his car, but Blaze and Fox approach us.Blaze smiles warmly at me.

“Hey, Cam,” Blaze says.

“Hey, Blaze,” I reply, trying to ignore the awkward tension thickening the air.Blaze’s eyes flicker to Landon, but his expression hardens slightly.

“Come on,” Fox says softly, tugging my arm.

“Hey,” I whisper as we walk.

“Hey,” Fox replies, his voice low and intimate.“Are you worried people will see us together?”

“No,” I say honestly.“I’m worried about you.”

Fox smirks.“I want to kiss you right now.”

“Don’t,” I warn, my heart racing.“Did you tell Blaze about us?”

“He figured it out.And I can’t lie to him,” he chuckles, leaning in slightly.“You told your friends about us?”

“They figured it out,” I admit, unable to stop the smile tugging at my lips.“I couldn’t stop staring at you.”

“Fuck, stop biting your lip,” Fox whispers, his voice rough.“It’s driving me crazy.”

I glance at him, then quickly away, trying to ignore the warmth spreading through me.Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Blaze and Landon standing awkwardly, their silence an almost tangible tension.

“Sorry,” I murmur, though I can’t stop the small smile tugging at my lips.

“You leaving for work?”Fox asks, his tone softening just for me.

“Yeah.Landon’s giving me a ride,” I reply, motioning toward my friend.

Fox raises an eyebrow and shakes his head slightly.“No, you’re riding with me.”

“What am I supposed to tell him?”I ask, already dreading the awkward conversation that’s bound to follow.

Fox just smirks, that confident, cocky smirk that drives me crazy.Without answering, he grabs my wrist and starts walking toward Landon. His touch is firm, but there’s a softness there too—a quiet assurance that makes me follow him without hesitation.

“Landon,” Fox says as we approach, his voice polite but laced with finality.
