Wade’s cheeks pinked slightly, but hedidn’t seem overly embarrassed as he charged in. “Now, understand I don’t havethat much experience overall. I was with Matthew for my entire life up untilthings changed, and now I’m with Griffin. I’ve played with very few people inmy life, so this is just my take on things.”

Both boys nodded, but it was Ari thatspoke. “We saw you with Tristan and Dakota. You guys looked…happy together. Wasit the same as being with Matthew or Griffin?”

I wasn’t sure where the interestingquestions were coming from, but Wade didn’t take offense. Smiling, he shook hishead. “No, it’s different. My friends are closer than family for me. I thinkyou guys can get that. It’s…they were there for me when I needed them most andI love them all, but it’s not the same as being in love with the person yousubmit to.”

Wade had their complete attention, so heonly paused for a moment before he kept going. Gesturing around the table, hesmiled. “It’s like a dinner that’s good and you like it, but then someone addsan extra spice to it, and all of a sudden you realize how wonderful it wasreally meant to be.”

“We want spice, but so far our dinners havebeen kind of plain.” Seth sighed. “Not all the time, but they’ve been missingsomething.”

Ari nodded. “We’ve found people to date, but it’s not what we thought we were going to find.”

My first thought was to hug them…my secondwas wondering what they were actually looking for…but where I’d always tried tokeep some distance between me and their personal life, Wade didn’t have thatvision of things.

“What are you looking for?” His gazebounced back and forth between them. “One Dom to have a relationship with bothof you or two Doms who are just very close?”

The room was quiet for a moment, then inunison, the boys turned to me. I had to chuckle. “Nothing you say is going tosurprise either of us. You’re not exactly subtle.”

They grinned and turned back to Wade. Aritook it that time. “Well, we want one Dom together. Kind of like Jonah’srelationship, but brothers would work if they were as close as we are.”

Wade nodded like the idea made perfectsense, making the boys relax. “I think you’ll find someone at the club. Thereseems to be a variety of Doms who’d have an open enough mind to understand whatyou need.”

Need.

Not want…need.

I wasn’t the only one who noticed his wordchoice because Ari smiled wider. “Any hints about who we should talk to?”

Wade shook his head. “No, not right off thebat, but if you’re okay with it, I’ll mention it to Austin and see if he knowsanyone. He’s much more…chatty than I am, so he’s probably heard more.”

The boys giggled and Seth leaned closer tothe table. “You’re going to talk to Austin about us?”

Wade scoffed. “Please, he’s already asked athousand nosy questions about you.”

They beamed.

Ari looked like he was ready to climb overthe table and wrap himself around Wade. “Really?”

Wade chuckled. “Oh yeah, you’re funny andcute and just interesting enough to make him curious.”

The boys giggled again as Wade gesturedvaguely between the two of them. “Let’s just say he’s nosy.”

They turned to look at one another and thenshrugged.

It was slightly unnerving, but I’d seenthem do it enough since we’d met that I was starting to get used to the silentway they had of communicating. Ari finally made the call and turned back toWade. “We don’t mind talking about stuff as long as it’s with people whounderstand or who at least won’t make things hard for us.”

I stepped in. “But you don’t have to sharewith anyone you don’t want to. Your privacy is important.”

They gave me cute grins, nodding. Sethreached out and gave my arm a pat. “Thank you.”

Wade smiled. “He’s right. No matter whatinappropriate thing Austin asks, decide where you want to draw the line andstick to it. The same goes for anyone else at the club too.”

Ari nodded, still with a grin on his face.“We did that when we were serving at the club. Everyone respected our limits.”

“Good.” Wade looked relieved. “We did ourbest to screen everyone, but even with our connections, that’s not alwaysperfect.”

The boys turned toward each other again. When they nodded, it was Seth who spoke to Wade. “We overheard a couple ofomegas talking about the level of background checks you guys did on everyone. They were impressed and understood why it was necessary, but we didn’t know howdeep those checks went.”

Wade was quiet for a few seconds and lookedthoughtful. “We have someone who does cybersecurity type work and he handledthe background checks. Yours included. But unless he found something that wasconcerning enough we needed to know about it, he kept as many details privateas he could.”
