“How long have I been asleep?” He’d said hewanted to get some of his accounting done while I napped, so I hadn’t expectedto wake up with him.

He chuckled. “It’s well after lunch.”

“Oh.” I sat up and kissed him.

“When you were still completely out after Ifinished my work, I decided that we both deserved a nap.” He grinned even widerwhen I nodded.

“You wrangled slightly out of controlomegas and alphas who are just a bit interesting. I bet you were the only grown-upthere last night.” It was my turn to laugh when he groaned.

As he rolled over on his back, I stretchedout on his chest. “That bad, huh?”

“They have the most interesting logic.”Griffin reached behind himself and pushed the pillows around so his head waspropped up. “I’m probably not supposed to tell this, Dom rules or some suchnonsense, but did you know Silas knew Austin had two bottles of that ridiculousliquor and deliberately let him keep one?”

Laughing, I shook my head. “No, we can’ttell Austin. He loves the idea he got one over on Silas and that he’ll bepunished today.”

Griffin smirked. “Silas seems to know that,so he fixed it so Austin could do it. He also made sure Austin couldn’t post onsocial media or take pictures on his phone either. It was impressive and odd atthe same time.”

“That sounds like an apt description oftheir relationship, actually.” I shrugged. “And I’m glad he thought about thecamera and the internet. Clearly, making good decisions while drunk is not ourstrong suit.”

Griffin was doing his best not to laugh.“How about we say that you are a very creative and interesting group of omegaswhen you get all together?”

“I like it.” Stretching closer, I gave hima quick kiss before relaxing back on his chest. “And I’ll even promise not totell the twins crazy stories of our behavior.”

He couldn’t seem to decide if he wanted togroan or laugh. “They don’t need any more interesting ideas on how to spendtheir time, so that’s probably for the best.”

I bit my lip and gave him puppy dog eyes.“But we can invite them over sometimes? Austin will love having someone new totorture…I mean help.”

Griffin laughed. “Sometimes. But you aregoing to be the one who gets punished if he drags them into somethingridiculous.”

Nodding, I gave him my best innocent look.“It’ll be fine. I promise.”

Quiet chuckles said he didn’t believe me atall, but that was okay. I didn’t mind being punished for Austin’s sins. It feltlike old times.

Griffin was still shaking his head andsmiling at me. “I think if you had kids, you’d be the parent who dragged theminto mischief every time.”

“Then you’d just have to spank me.” It tookabout two seconds to really understand what had come out of my mouth. My headpopped up. “Not that I meant—”

Griffin’s face tightened. “So you don’tthink I’d be a good father?”

Oh shit, I…

Then the asshole started to laugh. “I’mteasing. I’m sorry.”

I huffed as he kissed me, still grinning.“I didn’t take offense or assume you meant anything by it. Honest.”

Flopping back down on him, I blew out thebreath I’d been holding. “That was evil.”

He was still chuckling. “I’m sorry.”

He didn’t sound sorry.

But when his hand started stroking over myhead and down my back, I decided I didn’t really care that much. Closing my eyesagain, I relaxed into him. Griffin seemed content to hold me quietly for a fewminutes.

When he finally spoke, I smiled. “I wasbeing truthful when I said you’d drag your kids into all kinds of mischief, though.”

The smile in his voice made me grin.

I nuzzled Griffin’s chest. “And I thinkyou’d be good at keeping everyone somewhat under control. You’d be a goodfather.” He was laid-back enough that the chaos of a big household wouldn’tscare him and controlling enough that he could put up boundaries.
