Thankfully, the scene came to a closebefore I had to figure out what to say. As the Dom led the exhausted sub backto the quiet room, we headed back toward the lounge area. Speaking in a morenormal tone now, I pointed to the bar. “I’m going to make sure Sam haseverything he needs.”

The quiet beta who’d been hired to run thebar in the evenings did a great job, but I wanted him to know he didn’t have tomanage everything on his own.

Dakota chuckled, so I glanced over at him.“What?”

He nodded toward the door. “Looks like yournot-so-new friend has come to hang out for a while. I wonder if there was a subwho caught his eye. Did he say if he was interested in being a Daddy Dom? Thereare a few unattached littles who seem really sweet.”

“He’s not looking to date.” Griffinwasn’t…he wouldn’t…

Dakota chuckled. “You’re right. He’s justcome to see you.”

The fact that Griffin had smiled right asour eyes met probably gave Dakota the wrong idea, but I wasn’t going to arguewith him. As Griffin headed across the room, I couldn’t help returning hissmile. He was so sweet and I liked hanging out with him.

“Hey, just the boss man I was looking tosee.” He grinned when I groaned. “I have a question for you.”

Then he looked over at Dakota like he’djust noticed him. “Hey, good to see you, Dakota. You might have an idea aboutthis too.”

Dakota seemed to be trying not to laugh, soI simply ignored his bad behavior. “What can we do for you?”

“I won’t keep you long because I know thisis a work night for you, not playtime, but the age limit on the club. Howserious are you guys about that?” Griffin must have realized I was confusedbecause he chuckled. “My assistants. You met them at the opening. They want tojoin, but they’re only eighteen. I promised I’d ask.”

Dakota smiled. “Are the three of youtogether? They were really cute. I’m sure if they’re your partners we could—”

Griffin cut him off but kept his focus onme. “No, just friends and coworkers.”

There was too much tension between thethree of us for the conversation we were having, but as soon as I started toworry, Griffin smiled and I couldn’t help but relax. “They’re a bit of ahandful, and not the most conventional omegas, but that doesn’t seem to be aproblem here.”

Dakota started to open his mouth, but Ijumped in, not sure what he would say. “We don’t mind unconventional, but Ithink the age limit was about the alcohol since it’s included as part of theclub dues.”

I glanced over at Dakota to make sure I wasremembering things correctly, but I gave him a stern look so he would stay ontrack. He wasn’t normally rude unless he was working, and the tight jeans hewas wearing didn’t have a notebook in sight.

“Yes.” Dakota nodded, thankfully stayingprofessional. “There were a few loopholes with that but nothing we wereconfident about.”

Griffin’s face fell. “Thanks. That’s what Ithought. I was hoping to keep them dating in a safer place instead of randomlyroaming the internet.”

I hadn’t thought about that. “That would bea tough age to date, knowing you weren’t…weren’t very conventional.”

Griffin laughed. “Yeah, that’s not a word Iwould use with them. But they’re hard workers and most clients like them.”

“They did a great job the other night. Iwas really impressed with how they kept the single people engaged and didn’tserve the food like boring robots.” Even Dakota had to nod, agreeing with me.

Glancing back at him, I raised one eyebrow.“We were allowed to have them here before because they were employees and youonly have to be eighteen to serve drinks. Is there something we could do likethat?”

The rules around alcohol seemed illogical, but that wasn’t the system we were trying to take on, so I wasn’t going toworry about it.

“I would think so.” Looking much less likean asshole, Dakota turned to Griffin. “Let me talk to Austin about this. Heknows more about the alcohol stuff than we do. But we might be able to find away tohire themand have a good way around it.”

“At the very least a few hours a week doingsomething like monitoring rooms to give them an excuse to be here…and if theyactually worked then we could trade off for the dues.” We’d have to be carefulif someone looked too closely at employee records and time in the club, butsince we didn’t keep track of the number of hours someone spent actually in thebuilding, that should be fine.

Dakota nodded. “We’ve got enough members inthe local government that we should know if there would be a problem anywhere.”

They’d been well-vetted and Austin’s buddyEddie had assured us no one gave off any impression that they were a plant orweren’t part of the BDSM community. So far, everyone had blended in as well andno one had looked confused about what was going on or seemed unreasonablyembarrassed.

“They would probably love that. I’dpromised to help with the dues because they’re on their own, but they likeearning their way with things, so that would be great.” Griffin’s smile said hethought of them almost like younger brothers, but I’d seen the flirts in action,so I wasn’t sure it was a good comparison.

“I’ll talk to Austin, but I think thatmight be the best way to work around things.” Then Dakota smiled. “And it wouldgive us a bit more help without actually having to pay someone, so Bradley willappreciate that.”

Griffin nodded. “The best deal is one whereeveryone comes out happy. I just appreciate you trying to make it work. I’vebeen worried about some of the guys they’ve been dating.”
