Which had given me an idea which had meneeding to write down that idea…It really had been all their fault.

“I just had an idea.” A few ideas, maybe, but I put the notebook away and took a sip of my drink. I wasn’t as far gone asthe rest of them, but it wouldn’t take me long at the rate we were all going.

“You’re ignoring us.” Which, judging by theway Austin said that statement, was the worst thing I could do.

“I’m here and you’re impossible to ignore.”

He snorted. We were at feisty drunk, nothappy drunk, so he really needed another drink to find his happy place. “Thenwhat did I ask?”

“Something nosy. Find someone else to drivecrazy.” It’d just been a shot in the dark, but when his eyes narrowed, I knewI’d gotten close.

Austin glanced over at Wade who was quietlygiggling. At the very least he’d found his happy drunk place. “He’s lying, isn’t he? I can’t tell.”

That just made Wade’s giggle worse. Sincehe didn’t seem like he was going to be able to talk anytime soon, Jonah steppedin. “Yes, he’s bluffing. He was too busy focused on his notes to have heardwhat we said. Ask him again. We need to know and we’re allowed to be nosy.”

“Who made that rule?” I glared at Jonah.“You need another drink.”

This was getting ridiculous.

Jonah just grinned. “You did.”

Shit.

“Fess up, writer boy.”

What had Austin been drinking?

“I’m going to tell Silas you’ve had moremoonshine.” I knew I was right when he started pouting.

“That’s just mean.” The way he frowned andtried to look innocent had me staring at my drink.

“What am I drinking? I promised Tristan Iwouldn’t get drunk on moonshine.” Pointing around the room with my pen, Iglared at them all. “One of your nosy Doms told on me.”

Giggles swept around the room as Tannerraised his hand and Bradley’s. “It was ours. We’re very sorry they’re bossy.”

Bradley was frowning, not looking a damnedbit contrite. “Simon is still frustrated that no one warned him, so he’s makinga point of warning anyone new. It’s his passion project at the moment.”

I snorted. “He just had the bad luck towalk in on you guys drunk on moonshine. You’re normally very cheerful on otherbooze.”

Bradley barked out a laugh. “Don’t justblame this on us.”

I rolled my eyes. “I’m a quiet and creativedrunk who falls asleep in weird places. Don’t include me in your drama.”

Wade didn’t seem to like the way theevening was going, so he sat up and grinned. “Shot time. Then Dakota is goingto tell us about Tristan.”

I tried to fight the shots…kind of. Butsomehow, I lost.

Damned peer pressure.

“No, he’s normal but bossy and likes rules. No tattoos in weird places or strange hobbies. He’s just a normal guy who’s bigon control.” I was pretty proud of how I’d strung my thoughts together in areasonable manner, but giggles filled the room.

“Big.” Austin kept laughing. “How big ishe?”

This had to be better than crankyhalf-drunk Austin, right?

I wasn’t completely sure about either ofthose topics, so I did my best to change the subject. “Do you think it’s badthat he’s so normal? Does that mean he’s probably got weird skeletons in hiscloset?”

Jonah and Wade were shaking their heads, but the synchronized movement was making me nauseous so I had to look away.Unfortunately, that put Tanner in my line of sight and he was doing his best tothink. “Why don’t you already know about his skeletons?”
