Oh, for fuck’s sake.
Leaning against the doorframe, I shook myhead. “He’s not some kind of fucking puppy or kid up for adoption.”
Austin shot me a dirty glare. “But he’scute and he needs a Master.”
“You don’t have time to devote to someonelike that, Trouble.” Silas’s logic was slightly disturbing.
“I know.” Austin sighed. “But we can helphim find a Master when the club opens. You saw how he looked at the big alphadildos.”
Silas chuckled. “He didn’t even admit tobeing curious about bottoming, much less being a sub.”
“That’s not important.” Austin snorted. “Hewas very obvious.”
Okay, I had to give him that.
“He’s still a cop. You need to be careful.”Austin was back to glaring at me. He clearly didn’t appreciate logic. “Whathappens if he’s some kind of plant? That’s slim. I agree he’s a sub. A veryconfused sub. But you need to be careful.”
Austin let out a dramatic sigh that saidI’d won. “Fine. I’ll have Eddie look into his background before I pushanymore.”
“I can live with that.” If anyone couldfigure out what the guy’s deal was, it was Austin’s hacker buddy.
Silas agreed as well. “Fine. But no strays,Trouble. We don’t have time.”
Simon really was right—we were nuts.
Austin gave Silas a sexy pout. “I know,Master. But he needs someone.”
Walking over to his Master, Austin’s bodylooked more sensual with each step. He was like walking sex some days. At somepoint he was going to have to teach the rest of us to do that.
As he got closer, Silas wrapped his armsaround Austin and smacked his ass. The sound and Austin’s needy moan echoedthrough the room.
That was my cue to head out.
“I’ll see you later. Don’t have sex wherejust anyone can watch you.” I was serious, but the giggle I heard as I shovedpapers into my briefcase said he didn’t care at all. As I headed out the back door,I just hoped Silas had more common sense than Austin.
Chapter 18
Simon
The doorbell ringing made it clear I wasnever going to get out of the house on time. Ignoring it, I sent Bradley aquick text, apologizing and saying I was going to be late. I got a quick textback saying I was going to owe him, but when it was clear he wasn’t frustrated,I went for the door.
I’d been trying to get out of the house forclose to twenty minutes and one thing after another was conspiring against me.A backed-up toilet and two emergency work calls that had been absolutelyridiculous were just the tip of the iceberg.
I had every intention of being polite whenI opened the door, but when I saw Shane and Silas standing there, I justsighed. “What did Austin do?”
They burst out laughing, but it was Silaswho shrugged. “He’s being nosy.”
Fuck.
“Come on in.” Stepping back, I gave themboth firm stares. “You’ve got five minutes, then I’m leaving. I have plans withBradley that don’t involve your sorry asses.”
“Austin is texting him right now to sayyou’re going to be late.” Then Silas snorted. “And we both know he would not beaverse to whatever you had in mind.”
I grinned. “Let’s just say he’s got a goodimagination.”
Shane groaned. “I don’t need to hear this. The pool party was weird enough.”
“Didn’t stop you from looking.” I rolled myeyes when he shook his head.
