At least we weren’t going to see apregnancy countdown for him on the national entertainment shows. We’d all hopedthey’d quickly find something else to obsess over, but we hadn’t been thatlucky. Several national news programs had latched on to the idea after seeingall the activity online, and they weren’t letting it go anytime soon.

They were making too much money off of it.

I’d been surprised at how many legitimatenews organizations were willing to talk about the sexual rights of omegas onlive television. The warnings before news shows were getting more colorful asthe weeks went by, but they weren’t backing off the story. A few even seemedserious about the subject.

It was surprising how many people hadn’tthought about the issue before.

The sound of a drone buzzing over the househad both of us groaning and I got up to make sure the blinds were closed. He’dinstalled a coating over the windows that was supposed to keep people fromphotographing through them, but we weren’t taking any chances.

“Damned asshole fucking up my no-fly zone.”Austin sniffed and turned away from the window. “When I figure out who’sholding up the paperwork, I’m going to do something drastic.”

“I need plausible deniability. Don’t tellme.”

Austin huffed. “I won’t get caught.”

Oh, I believed him, but just in case. “Seefirst answer.”

He finally let out a giggle and seemedready to change the subject. “Do you have a favorite theme room you want me towork on? I’ve gotten ideas from everyone but you.”

Oh no.

“No.” Changing the subject to somethingeasier to discuss, I pointed toward the window. “Were you still planning ontalking Jonah into letting you do another pool party this weekend?”

Austin laughed, delighted at the new topic.“Oh yes, Russ is whining about everyone getting naked again, but he feels sorryabout the drone situation and the media hasn’t figured out that they’re friendswith me yet.”

I wasn’t going to address the naked issuebecause I wasn’t planning on being naked.

“Just make sure to keep it small. Friendsonly, so we don’t end up accidentally outing them.” Jonah knew it would happenat some point, but he was hoping to keep their private life private for as longas they could.

Austin gave me a narrow look. “Friends andfamily who are fun and kinky too, right? Simon gets to come too and then wehave to make Clay come in and hang out. He’s too sexy and fun to leave in thecar. And eventually, you have to meet my computer friend.”

We were going to end up with pictures allover the news.

“Yes, Clay and Simon are fine, but justmake sure you really trust anyone else and warn Graham and Russ. Don’t surprisethem with a dozen strange people they’ve never met.” I wasn’t worried if theywere kinky as long as they could respect our privacy, but Austin knew all kindsof weird people.

His grin turned a bit wicked. “You’re goingto love my friends. And I’ll be good and not annoy the guys too much.”

I didn’t believe that for a second.

“Don’t get us on the news and don’t pissoff Jonah’s Masters.” Calling them boyfriends felt wrong because they were somuch more than that to him.

Austin sighed and stretched out on thesmall couch. “They’re so cute together. I just know they’re his mates. It’slike a fairy tale.”

A very dirty one.

“He’s happy and that’s what matters.” I wastrying not to be an ass, but it was hard. There was so much that could gowrong, but just in case, I had him protected. With his savings and the factthat Tanner made him put his furniture into storage, he’d be fine if he had tomove out unexpectedly.

I just didn’t like situations wheresomething could go wrong.

“He’s more than happy.” Then the bastardaimed that I’m-an-airhead-in-love smile at me. “We just need to find alphas foryou guys. I was thinking Wade might be the hardest to find an alpha for becausehe’s been odd lately, but as much as Dakota’s been working, I’m not sure heknows alphas exist.”

I knew better than to assume he’d left meout because he was polite, so I watched him cautiously as I responded. “I thinkWade’s finally getting over Matthew and it makes him very uncomfortable.”

Austin nodded, some of the wicked gleefading into actual thoughtfulness. “Probably. I always thought he was going tofeel really guilty when he fell in love again. Do you think he’s started tonotice someone?”

Wade had never hidden finding someoneattractive or telling a naughty story. His relationship with Matthew hadn’tbeen one filled with jealousy or the stressful kind of possessiveness, butfalling in love was completely different than something sexual.

“It’s possible. I can’t remember himreacting to anyone specifically, though.”
