Laughter rolled through the room as Shanenodded. “I’m not stupid.”
It took several minutes to get everyoneback under control as they laughed and teased. But it gave me time to think.Shane was a good sport, but he’d been right to a degree. Simon hadn’t doneanything to make it seem like he was horrified by our behavior.
But knowing where the good porn was locatedon websites didn’t mean he’d understand our desire to open a club. Shane haddescribed him as annoying and a bit odd, but he’d never said anything about whohe’d dated or what kind of relationship he wanted.
The first thing he’d mentioned about pornhad been the alpha-on-alpha variety.
Which—who’d known was a thing?
But had that been because of Graham andRuss’s situation or was it the first thing he thought of because it was hispreference?
With all the naked skin on display at theparty, he’d kept amazing eye contact and the only person he’d deliberatelyflirted with had been Austin. But that could easily be explained away by thefact that Austin came on to everyone, and with Silas there indulging Austin,he’d been a safe person to tease.
But what was he interested in?
Alphas?
Omegas?
No one?
Was he already seeing someone?
The chance of that seemed slim based on howinsane and nosy their family was, but it could be the reason he hadn’t foundanyone interesting. Sure, he’d gotten aroused a few times but so had everyoneelse.
“Bradley?” Tanner’s tone said he’d alreadyasked a question, but for the life of me, I had no idea what he’d said.
“Sorry. Can you repeat that, please?” I gotodd looks from around the room, but I ignored it.
“I asked what you thought about tellingSimon.” Tanner’s expression said he was worried about me, but he overreactedabout everyone.
“I’m not opposed to the idea, but we needto know more about him first.” I tried to give Shane a look to make sure heknew it wasn’t personal. “We wouldn’t tell a stranger about it without knowingmore about them, so we need to keep the same standard with people we’re alreadyfamiliar with.”
Wade nodded, but he didn’t seem pleased tohave to agree with me. “I like Simon, but we don’t even know anything about himbesides the fact that he doesn’t have a TV and he knows where the good porn ishidden.”
I’d dated guys knowing less about them, butthis was more serious than dating.
That always turned out terribly and I wasgoing to do my best to make sure the club succeeded. It was probably my onlyhope of finding an alpha who understood what I wanted in a relationship and ina man. I wasn’t lucky enough to just find a Dom right around the corner.
My life had never been that easy.
Chapter 4
Simon
Had he been deliberately vague about whathe wanted? Reading through the email, aside from the questions he’d asked, Ireally didn’t know any more about it than what Eddie had passed along. Hewanted a private site like the porn I’d shown Austin.
Eddie would have probably told me if it wasactual porn, but honestly, it could’ve been about anything with the way censorswere looking at things and how touchy people were these days. The questionsabout BDSM said the person wasn’t vanilla no matter what the site was going tobe about.
Leaning back, I tried to decide how toanswer the questions and came up empty. Switching screens, I brought up theprivate site I used to message and talk with Eddie. He was a little nuts aboutnot wanting a traditional phone trail going to him just in case something wentwrong.
In seconds I had an icon swirling in themiddle of my screen letting me know it was trying to contact Eddie. Bingo.
“What? Miss me already?” His grin made itclear he was relaxed and ready to drive me insane.
“Yes.” I rolled my eyes and gave him a drytone. “You’re the one for me.”
Chuckling, his hands came up in awhatcan I saykind of gesture. “Yeah, that’s what everyone says. It’s mymagnetism.”
