He was really having a hard time moving past that point. “It’s no wonder your mother thinks you need a matchmaker. You’re very hard to deal with sometimes.”

G seemed to take offense at that and his face was starting to look like his head was going to explode. He was so hot when he got angry. Jonah seemed to think so too because he managed to get the laughter down to snorts and giggles as he climbed onto G’s lap.

“Master.” Jonah took a deep breath, and the giggles paused. “Graham.”

Wrapping his arms around Jonah, Graham gave me a snort and pulled Jonah tight to him. “I love you.”

Jonah smiled, tenderly that time, no more giggles, and kissed him. “I love you too. I don’t need romantic gestures or things timed perfectly. I just need you.”

He glanced back and forth between us. “I just need my alphas, my Masters. That’s it.”

Graham cupped his cheek and kissed him again tenderly. “A bit of romance and some candles wouldn’t have hurt, though.”

I could see the giggles building up inside Jonah again, but he took a long deep breath and nodded, clearly trying to stay serious for our insane man. Graham might want roses and candles, but I’d made our omega laugh. That had to be better than anything else because I’d made him happy.

“We love each other. That’s all that matters.” Jonah wrapped his arms around Graham, giving him a tight hug. “I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with my Masters.”

And a bit of laughter mattered too.

But I was smart and kept that thought to myself.

Moving closer, I wrapped my arms around them both and kissed each one tenderly. “You are the best family in the whole world and I wouldn’t trade either of you for anything. I always knew there was someone who would fit perfectly with us. We just had to wait until we could find you.”

Waiting was sometimes hard, but not when it really mattered.

“We’d have waited forever to find you.” Graham stroked his finger down Jonah’s cheek. “We were made to fit together.”

“And that will never change.” I kissed Jonah again gently.

Not Graham’s insane family or my overly excited one and not Jonah’s skeptical friends who thought we were going too fast. Nothing would come between us.

Jonah nodded, a tender expression on his face. “I love you.” He kissed Graham again sweetly. “But what are you going to tell your family?”

That was a damned good question.

Graham sighed and leaned back against the couch again, making Jonah smile. Jonah liked his drama. “I’m going to talk to my dad. He was helpful in the past when I stood up to her, and I’m hoping he’ll know the way to handle her now. She can’t go on steamrolling over people and not thinking about their needs or feelings. She’s gone too far.”

“She loves you.” Jonah’s smile was conflicted. I knew there were issues in the past around his family, but I hadn’t wanted to ask. Graham had come home one day upset that he’d poked some kind of wound when he’d asked about Jonah’s family. Jonah evidently hadn’t wanted to talk about it and Graham had worried he’d fucked things up by being nosy.

“But that doesn’t mean I have to let her do this to me.” Graham took a long breath. “I can love her and still set boundaries, and my father needs to help with that.”

I thought it was long overdue, but it wasn’t my family and I tried to avoid them at all costs.

“When are you going to talk to him?” Graham usually went over a few times a month to have a big family dinner, but the schedule changed depending on what everyone was doing.

“We’re going to talk to him tomorrow. I’m not putting it off.”

I admired the confidence and his willingness to take charge, but then I really heard what he said. “We?”

He was going to drag me into that insanity?

Jonah gave me a little frown and raised one eyebrow. “We’re a family. Remember?”

“Family does not mean I have to deal with his mother. She’s insane.”

Graham snorted. “Yes, it does.”

“I’m going to need to be bribed to do this. You know that, right?” I was only half kidding and Jonah must have realized that because he climbed onto my lap, straddling my legs.
