“Yes, and that would just be thebeginning.” There wouldn’t be any way to stop my fury at the person who hurt myboy. Kissing him gently, I gave his ass a swat. “Now clothes on.”

Beaming at me, Trouble wiggled again.“Spank me more, Master.”

I raised one eyebrow and gave him a sternlook. “What are Tanner and Wade going to say when we get to the meeting latebecause you wanted a spanking?”

We both knew where that would lead.

“You should have woken me up sooner.” Hewas aiming that little pout at me again, but it wasn’t going to work.

“Two a.m., Trouble, three by the time youactually went to bed.” Because his brain went a million miles an hour when hewas drunk.

“But it was so much fun.” He threw his armsaround me. “You have to come next time so they can get to know you.”

“How about we give everyone a chance to getused to me first?” I wasn’t so blind I’d missed the worried looks I’d gottenwhen I’d walked in the room last night.

They’d relaxed once they’d seen I wasn’tupset with Austin, but they weren’t ready to party around me yet. Austin satback, waving his hands. “They’re going to love you. They just worry.”

I chuckled. “Trouble, I’ve seen some of themen you’ve dated. They have a right to be worried. What about that biker? Youcould have gotten arrested.”

Trouble was a dick magnet…and not in a goodway.

Of course, he only heard what he wanted to.I got a teasing grin. “You liked watching me in the gossip news? Most peopledon’t remember Buck.”

“That’s not the point.” Austin rolled hiseyes, but I kept going. “You need to give them time to see that it’s differentbetween us.”

“But I told them it’s different.” He huggedme again, giving me a smacky kiss as he started rocking his hips once more.

“They need to see it.” I was a sex toystore owner from the wrong side of town and he was a rich playboy who did hisbest to hide how brilliant he really was. I’d have questions if I saw ustogether. “Breakfast, Trouble.”

Sighing, he gave up and hopped off my lap, dancing in just panties toward the bathroom. “I get to pick out my shirt.”

As long as he put clothes on and covered upthat sexy body, he could wear whatever he wanted. I only had so much patience, and between last night’s handsy pleading and his wicked wiggles this morning, mine was stretched thin.

“How have you notkilled him yet for being so damned perky?” One of Austin’s friends…the financeguy…Bradley, I thought, gave Austin a disgusted look and headed in the oppositedirection as soon as we walked in.

Austin didn’t take offense, so I decidednot to deck the moron. In fact, he grinned and started dancing across the roomafter him. “You’re just getting old.”

I wasn’t sure if Austin had noself-preservation instincts or if he was just that confident that Bradleywouldn’t kill him. I’d never been that trusting, so I decided to keep an eye onhim just in case. However, since no one else was worried either, I might havebeen a bit overcautious.

You could never be too careful, though.

Wade sighed, looking almost as tired asBradley as he sipped his huge coffee. “How about you pretend to be hungovertoo? Like last time. That would make this much easier.”

Since this seemed to be a regularoccurrence, I made a mental note to plan better next time the six of them gottogether. Evidently, common sense was lacking in the group.

“I keep telling you to take your vitamins, drink plenty of water before you go to bed, then eat a good breakfast andyou’ll be fine.” Austin’s know-it-all voice would have sounded more sincere ifI hadn’t known personally that he hadn’t done any of those things.

It would be a good threat to keep in myback pocket, though, once the idea of being in the cock cage for a month didn’tmake him nervous any longer. I wasn’t stupid. I knew eventually, that wouldlose its effectiveness, so a backup plan was always helpful.

Austin shrugged, looking mischievous asthey all groaned, and proceeded to bounce around the room like a cricket oncaffeine. “When does Graham get here?”

“Entirely too soon.” Jonah…Ithought…yawned. “Why didn’t we do this later tonight?”

Austin was eager to answer that one.“Because we all said it wasn’t going to be a late night, so there was no pointin taking up the entire afternoon going over the plans.”

“We wouldn’t have to go over the plans ifwe could make decisions and stick with them.” The writer…Dakota, if Iremembered correctly, started to chuckle. “We’re clearly pantsers, notplotters.”
