His grip tightened and desire flared in his eyes. “I have a few surprises to show you once we have some privacy, and I haven’t forgotten your punishment from earlier.”
Was I supposed to be excited or worried about the punishment?
“You were a very naughty omega.”
Excited.
Apologize or throw myself at him and beg for my punishment now?
“It’s a very good thing our bedrooms are soundproof.”
Both.
Tucking myself closer to him, I buried my face in his neck, loving the spicy smell I was coming to associate with him. An alpha’s scent wasn’t supposed to be as filled with pheromones as an omega’s was, but Shane’s natural scent was almost addictive.
“I’m sorry, Alpha.”
Fuck. That would never get old.
Shane’s hand stroked down my back and patted my ass. “I know you’re sorry, but you still need to be punished.”
It was just the right mix of desire and something almost like condescension, if that word had a sexual overtone to it. Austin or one of the guys would have known how to explain it, but I just relished the flood of wicked humiliation that pushed through me.
“Yes, Alpha.”
Please, Alpha.
Thank you, Alpha.
I need you, Alpha.
“That’s my good omega.”
He was going to make me come before we’d even left the office. It was time to move to a more private location…or at least one where I wouldn’t have to walk through a building with cum in my pants. Pulling back, I took a deep breath to collect myself and smiled at Shane. “My house or yours?”
He thought about it for longer than I’d expected. “Mine.”
I’d thought it was an easy question, but his answer surprised me. “I want to introduce you to my brother Simon. He’s annoying, but it’s the best way for my family to start seeing us as a couple because he’s going to spread it around like wildfire.”
Maybe I wasn’t so frustrated about being an only child after all.
“You sure?” Not that I didn’t want to meet his family. It was just…daunting.
“Yes.” Shane’s brisk nod only gave more weight to the serious expression he was wearing as he kissed my forehead. “This isn’t casual to me and I want them to know that.”
Then he smiled and chuckled almost bashfully. “Besides, it’s probably not going to be a shock. According to Simon, I talk about you a lot.”
It was my turn to smile. “Really?”
“Oh yes.” Shane might have been a little embarrassed, but he seemed delighted as well. “He basically said it was completely obvious how into you I was.”
“You were?” That shouldn’t have surprised me considering how easily we came together, but he’d always seemed so professional. “Austin said you were, but I thought that was just him trying to drive me insane.”
Shane chuckled. “No, that was true. I was trying to be discreet, however.”
“You were.” I gave in to the urge to kiss him gently. “I wish you’d have been a little more obvious.”
Shane started to nod, then he paused. “But would you have been ready to tell me what you wanted in a relationship?”
