“Yes, at being a slut,” he remarked as I tossed him the phone back, shuddering. I knew it was irrelevant to the matter at hand, but all I could think about was Elena had once used those expert moves onmyboyfriend. I glanced over to see Bailey saving the file to his phone, and I sighed heavily.
“What are we going to do?”
He rubbed his jaw, his long fingers caressing his stubble. Finally, he turned to look at me, his eyes seeming lighter with the sunlight streaming through the window.
“I don’t know yet. But I don’t want you to worry about it. Elena’s a big girl. She isn’t our concern.” He shrugged and leaned over, taking the opportunity to kiss me. Despite the afternoon drama, I found myself getting lost in his kiss, his mouth tasting deliciously of mint as my tongue explored it. My fingers tugged at his hair as he groaned against me, reluctantly pulling away. I watched in confusion as he slid his hand under his seat, letting the seat slide back before pulling me swiftly over to him.
Oh!
I let out a squeal as he buried his face in my neck, our mouths meeting again in a heated embrace. My body craved his, yet we were sitting in the school parking lot, not the ideal make-out place.
“You drive me fucking crazy,” Bailey muttered as I leaned back against the steering wheel, my hands sliding up his top and onto his hard chest. I bit my lip, and his eyes darkened as he leaned forward, his hand on the back of my head as he pulled me towards him. I opened my mouth to kiss him when he surprised me by biting on my bottom lip. He held my gaze, then bit harder until I cried out.
“I warned you about biting your lip, Annabelle.”
I tasted blood and gasped as he gave me a smug grin. I narrowed my eyes at him when he looked at me mischievously.
“Are you up for doing it here?”
I folded my arms and laughed, shaking my head.
“No! Can you imagine?”
He put his head back on the headrest as he ran his finger down my chin, onto my neck and chest.
“Yes. Yes, I fucking can.”
I sucked in a sharp breath as he held his hands up, his face suddenly serious.
“Unless you want me to fuck you regardless of what you say, I suggest you get off my hard dick,” he suggested as I scrambled to get off him. Secretly I wondered if he would just take me despite my protests.Mmm, maybe he will go a little Christian Grey on me.
“Damn, I was hoping you would’ve stayed put.” He growled as he adjusted himself.
I took the opportunity to study him shamelessly, this man who had the power to turn me into a moist mess by simply batting those eyelashes at me. His skin was flawless, with no blemishes in sight; a slight year-round tan dominated his skin tone. His hair was never styled, but I noticed it getting longer lately, and I had to confess I liked it that way. I reached over and touched it as he snapped his head to look at me.
“Alright there, sweetheart?”
“No,” I whispered hoarsely.
He leaned over to kiss me again as he stopped halfway, nodding towards the school.
“Look who it is,” he commented drily as we watched Elena sashaying out of school like she owned it. She stopped and rummaged in her bright pink bag before pulling out a mirror and lip gloss, reapplying it carefully before admiring her reflection. Finally, she snapped the compact shut and glanced toward Bailey’s car. She glared at us, flipping the bird in our direction as Bailey reacted by opening his car door. I tried to grab his arm, but I was too late; he was half out of the car as he bellowed her name.
“Elena! How was detention? What did you do, practice Biology?” He hooted as she frowned at him in confusion, her eyes falling on me.
“Oh, are you givinghera ride tonight? I didn’t know if she would be riding with White again. He even came to see her at lunch; how sweet. Bye-bye, Bailey,” she drawled as my face fell, her lips curling into a snarl as she flounced off. Bailey went after her, but I managed to grab him with both hands, calling out his name. He slumped back in the seat angrily, smacking the steering wheel with his hand.
“What lies is she spouting now? God, she’s a fucking bitch. If she were a guy, I’d smash her straight in the mouth.” He growled, slamming the door. My heart was pounding as I avoided looking at him, terrified of the confrontation that awaited me. He finally turned to look at me, and he frowned.
“Why are you so pale? What now?” He demanded, his hand on mine as I gulped.
“Erm, today I was late for school, and it was raining....”
I didn't dare look at his eyes; I could feel them burning into my skull as he seemed to hold his breath.
“So I got a ride with Sam.”
The silence was deafening, albeit only momentarily.
