Theo sucked in a breath as he pulled over, grabbing my phone from me.

“Was it? I thought it was two months ago,” he muttered, swiping through the dates.

“No.”

I shook my head resolutely as he lifted his eyes to mine slowly.

“You don’t think it’s mine?”

“Well, unless you slept with her again—”

“No. Lissa was a psycho.” He shuddered.

“She’s seven weeks gone. Right?”

He looked at me then as he nodded.

“So sperm doesn’t live for five weeks,” I added.

We were silent then as he studied me.

“So there’s a good chance—” Theo began slowly.

“That you’renotthe father." I breathed, searching his eyes.

“But Icouldbe?”

“It’s so unlikely, Theo. It seems like she got pregnant five weeks after sleeping with you.”

“Fuck.”

HANNAH

“Amy’sperfect.”

“Perfection doesn’t exist,” I pointed out, twirling my fork in the spaghetti. I forked it into my mouth while Nikolas studied me with amusement.

“Is it edible?” Nikolas whispered, his eyes wide.

“I heard that!” Zane yelled as he stuck his head out of the kitchen door, dismay on his handsome features.

“It’s gorgeous, Zane,” I lied.

Zane had mixed a tin of tomatoes and spaghetti and sprinkled salt on as an afterthought.

Hardly appetising.

Nikolas snickered when I grimaced at the second mouthful.

“Speaking of perfection. How’s your best friend?”

I lifted my eyes to him as I smiled.

“Youknow.”

“So? I want to hear it from you.”
