Removing the condom, I walked to the trashcan and tossed it before moving to the fridge to grab a bottle of water. Going back to the bench, I set the water down and started untying her wrists. After removing the ropes I made sure to massage the area first to get the blood circulating again.
“How you feelin’?” I asked when I removed the scarf from her eyes.
“Good,” she breathed as her eyelids fluttered. The room was dimly-lit on purpose, to help set the scene.
Grabbing the water, I slowly helped her up and opened it before bringing it to her mouth where she eagerly drank from it.
I never was too intimate with the people I played with, but always wanted to make sure I took care of them. Aftercare was a must. Scorpion was a place I came to relax and escape from real life. The high I always got seeing the girl under me releasing her control was something that would always send an overwhelming rush through my body.

“What happened with the Smith House shipment?” I asked Ken, my manager, as I followed him through the warehouse Steel Freight Shipping operated out of.
“When the drivers got to the drop-off point, no one was there to unload the truck. They waited and still no one came; so they were forced to leave. By the time they were on the way back here, the owner called citing a miscommunication with timing and wanted them to turn around, but I told them they would need to get back on the schedule and the cost would be more.”
I nodded and rubbed the bottom of my chin. After releasing tension at Scorpion last night, the last thing I wanted was being called down to my warehouse to deal with issues.
The Smith House was a furniture company we contracted with. Steel Freight Shipping was a global shipping company with trucks that traveled all around. We worked with a lot of major companies to ensure their products and goods got where they needed to be safely and efficiently. I hated when time and money were wasted.
Our latest transaction with them was transporting inventory to one of their stores. They had five different stores we delivered to.
I checked my iPad and noted which store had given us the issue.
“This isn’t the first time we’ve had transporting issues with this particular store, is it?” I questioned.
“No it isn’t, which I let the owner know.”
My jaw clenched as I scanned the work order.
“And with the D&Q?”
“They had an issue with customs and had to push back their pickup.”
I shook my head.
Ken continued filling me in on things that had been going on this week. While I ran the company, he was in charge of thewarehouse where the trucks were stationed. While the business had been profitable and successful throughout the years, that didn’t take away the bullshit that came with it at times.
“We have two trucks down for repairs and more cargo containers coming in since we took on the…” Ken continued just as my phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out, still listening to Ken, and checked the screen.
For a second I studied the screen before hitting the side button, not recognizing the number. I was about to put the phone away when it rang again. This time I answered.
“This is Creed.” I put my finger up, halting Ken.
“Creed?” a soft feminine voice sounded. “This is Nakyra, Rome’s fiancée. Are you busy?”
My brows furrowed and my mouth pinched. Nakyra was my brother’s fiancée, but I didn’t have much of a relationship with her. I had only met her a couple of times and there weren’t any long interactions between us. Her calling me and not my brother was odd.
“I run a million-dollar business, I’m always busy.” I nodded, letting Ken know I’d be right back and stepped to the side.
“Oh right, I’m sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to let you know there was an accident.” While Nakyra gave me a rundown of what was going on, I still was curious about what had made her call me. Me and my brother had never been super close and I knew my parents hadn’t prompted her to call either; so it made me wonder what her motives were.

I stepped onto the floor that the desk attendant told me my brother was currently being held on and headed in the directionthat the arrows showed his room number. When I got to the room, I saw my parents and Nakyra standing outside the room.
Once close enough I cleared my throat and shoved my hands into my sweats pockets. My dad was the first to look up with a blank expression displayed on his face.
“What are you doing here?” His voice was just as rough and emotionless as it’d always been. His question prompted my mom to look up. Confusion passed through her face.
