“I hope it takes a while to find you. I’m selfish, and I can’t live without you, Grannie!”

“Oh, my love!” A kiss is placed on my cheek, and a tight hug on my body. “You’re going to be so happy, so loved; I can tell you deserve it! Now go, your husband is waiting.”

I leave a kiss on her cheek and walk toward Luca, feeling his eyes glued to me; I hug him as soon as I get close to him, feeling his arms encircle my body and his scent invade my nostrils. I smile, feeling his heart beat a little faster than I’m used to, and I stand on tiptoe, sealing our lips.

“Ready to go home?”

“Home,” I nod, feeling my mind in the clouds. Luca takes my hand, leading me into the garage of his parents’ mansion. “Shouldn’t we say goodbye to the guests?”

“They’re watching us go, plus there’s been a lot of talking, greetings, and photos; they’ve had enough of us.”

The passenger door is opened for me, and I smile as I pull up the skirt of my dress. Luca quickly helps me get all the fabric into the car. He seems focused on the road, and I simply smile, happy, too happy to hide. I lean my head against the car window and watch the city pass through the glass until the car finally passes through the gate of our new home. I see some security guards scattered around the garden, and contrary to what I thought a year ago today, I know they are necessary, and their presence does not bother me anymore. I see the house illuminated and it is exactly the image I imagined, the house where I imagined to create a family. Luca enters the garage, and I notice several cars parked there. Leaving the car, not waiting for Luca to open the door, I enter the house, feeling that Luca follows me closely. The lighting in the room is low; some scented candles are lit, which makes the atmosphere seem cozy. I notice that some of the furniture was moved, creating a space in the middle of the room.

“We didn’t have our last dance!” I look in Luca’s direction, feeling the realization hit me that we didn’t fulfil one of the traditions.

“I didn’t remember…”

A beautiful, sincere smile rises to his lips. “That was the intention; I don’t want you to feel like you have to share every detail of your life just because it’s expected of you. So I decided that at our wedding, full of guests and rules, we would have something of our own.”

“I can’t help falling in love with you,” takes over the atmosphere, and Luca offers me his hand, looking like Prince Charming, the one I dreamed of all my childhood, whoseems to be right here in front of me, more handsome than ever, and mine. “May I have this dance, Mrs. Di Santis?”

I let my hand rest on his, and little by little, my body moves closer to his. Unlike the dance at the party, I let my head rest on Luca’s chest, listen to his heartbeat, and smile as I feel him hold my body close to his. The rhythm of our steps is slow, without prey, without following any choreography or thinking about the correct posture. It’s just the two of us dancing to beautiful music on an important day.

Butterflies fly around my stomach, a mixture of nerves and intense happiness, a new chapter in my life, the start of a new story, a new reality. The fabric of my dress sways as Luca tries tomake the dance more funandmore moving; I feel my body being lifted into the air, and my laughter takes over the atmosphere. Luca spins me around in the air, tightly held in his arms, and this moment is something I never thought I’d experience, not with a man like Luca.

His cold appearance and emotionless eyes seem completely different from the man I see now, his warm, sparkling eyes turning on me in the living room of our house, making me feel like a real princess. I was afraid that our marriage would be nothing more than a business of interests, that his cold personality would remain inside the house, but a man like Luca must know the power he has, that he doesn’t need to intimidate or torture his wife in order to feel strong and powerful. He knows the power he has; he doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone, and he knows it.

“I love hearing your laugh, seeing the happiness reflected on your face!” I look down, feeling Luca lower my body little by little, still in the grip of his arms. Our faces are face to face and our breaths mingle, I look at that beautiful face of ice, and I can’t help myself, taking my hand to his cheek leaving a light caress on it, Possessiveness shines in his gaze. “My wife, mine!”

“Only yours, until the painful end, maybe beyond!” As soon as the words were out of my mouth, Luca glued our lips together possessively, kissing me eagerly.

My heart beats incessantly in my chest, his lips on mine, kissing me eagerly, showing all his desire for me. Luca runs his hands around my waist, caressing my torso along my ribs, and I feel my body on fire. His fingers gently caress the underside of my breasts, and I feel my nipples crinkle and heat build between my legs.

I let out a little moan between kisses, and Luca smiles, looking pleased and completely aware of the control he has over my body, what his touches and closeness do to me. Knowing fullwell that when it comes to him, my body and I will always crave more. His fingers tighten possessively around my waist; I let my hand rest on his strong chest and take my other hand into his hair, giving myself more and more to that kiss, to that man. I feel his strong heartbeat on my palm, a beat that seems to have the same rhythm as mine.

“Let’s go to our room!” His arms encircle my waist and lift me into the air, carrying me up the stairs to our room.

Wet kisses are deposited on my neck as soon as I’m perched in front of our bed; I feel Luca calmly untie the bodice of my dress, never letting go of the closeness that suddenly seems so necessary. I tilt my head, giving more space for his lips, and I let out a small moan, quickly covering my mouth, embarrassed. His hand reaches for my wrist, pulling my arm down.

“Don’t hide your moans from me; I want to hear you, love!” he gives my skin a gentle suck, and I suddenly feel feverish, sending a wave of heat throughout my body.

My dress is loose and slides down my body, gathering all the fabric at my feet. I look at the white mound and step out of my high heels, feeling Luca’s eyes scrutinize every part of my body, showing all his desire and possessiveness for me. I hug my body, feeling shy under the scrutiny of his eyes. He approaches me slowly, his eyes roaming me from head to toe, and kisses my mouth hurriedly and eagerly, sucking hard on my tongue.

I see Luca take off his tuxedo and my breath catches in my throat at the sight of his sculpted body, looking like a real work of art. He grabs my waist, and I feel the temperature of his body glued to mine; he lays me on the bed calmly, hanging over me and observing my body and my reactions to him.

Anxiety and fear of the unknown take hold of me. I don’t know what to do, and Luca seems to realize it, spreading my legs and standing in the middle of them; his hand goes to the clasp of my bra and opens it. I feel my cheeks heat up, and I lookaway from him; he pulls my face and forces me to look into his eyes; the unshakeable confidence that lives in his being calms me down little by little.

Luca kisses me fiercely, nibbling lightly on my lower lip and sliding kisses down my chin and neck, always looking for my reactions, making sure I’m comfortable. Need takes over when his lips close around my chest, and I close my eyes, feeling low moans escape my lips. I feel his naked body cling even tighter to mine, and shivers of warmth travel through me, and I needlessly move closer to him, needing more of him. I feel his beard lightly prickle my sensitive skin as he kisses his way down my body until he finds my center, his eyes meeting mine before he kisses my hot center, making me grab his hair, not letting him pull away, ecstatic at the sensation. His hands are on my hips, steadying them, without ever stopping kissing me, seeming to need it to live.

“Don’t stop!” My voice comes out much huskier than usual, and the anxiety has completely dissipated.

“I don’t intend to.”

He climbs on top of me, kissing my mouth greedily, seemingly unable to stay away from me, and I grab his neck, not letting him pull away.

“Do you want this?” His voice is hoarse and low as if begging me not to say no.

The words seem to die in my mouth; I nod, feeling the fear of the unknown take hold of me again, but there is nothing in this world that I want more than Luca. There’s no one I’d rather have than him here. He lays his body on top of mine, careful not to put his weight on me, and makes me his slowly and with little pain.
