Cassie leans forward to pick up her plate of pancakes. Fuck, this woman is a total distraction.
She is so unaware of how fucking adorable she looks sitting on my sofa wrapped in my oversized dark blue bathrobe, eating her pancakes with her fingers. Syrup dripping down her fingers.
I reach across to bring her hand toward me, then bending my head, I lick the syrup from her fingers.
“Hey! I was going to lick that syrup up,” she protests half-heartedly.
I doubt she's truly upset as there is no resistance to my mouth sucking on her fingers, and her wide blue eyes are tracking every swipe of my tongue.
Fuck, this is giving me a flashback to last night. The best kind of flashback. And knowing under her bathrobe she is utterly beautifully naked; I desperately want her again.
There's no hiding my desire either with my cock tenting my track pants. Cassie has obviously noticed as she slides closer along the sofa. My appetite is insatiable, but not for pancakes anymore. I’m greedy for this woman.
Cassie is fast becoming an addiction, and I have no intention of giving up on this addiction.
Chapter 20
Cassie
LateSundayafternoonLukeleads me over to his large black SUV to drive me home after what has been an amazing twenty-four hours together. He opens the door for me before going back around to jump into the driver’s side, I'm enjoying his special attention.
As I settle back into the luxurious cream leather passenger seat, I can’t resist saying, “Nice car. It’s a bit of an upgrade from high school.”
“True, definitely a step up from my 2005 Ford Mustang, but I won’t hear anything bad said about my old car. We had some good times in my Mustang.”
Luke laughs, checking to gauge my reaction as he starts up the car.
“Oh yes, I remember clearly the good times.” I’m not able to stop the blush flooding my cheeks, so I try to cover it by bending my head and hiding behind a curtain of my hair.
Luke reaches out his hand to brush back my hair, gently turning my face to him. His eyes smolder with desire, and I know he is also thinking about those good times.
“Damn, remembering what we did in the backseat of my old car makes me want you again,” he admits in a husky growl. I know what he means, but it’s getting late, and I do need to get home. Besides, my body is feeling a little tender from all our loving.
Smiling at him, I say, “Maybe it’s a good thing me leaving you wanting more, then you’ll keep coming back.”
“Sounds like a deal, I'll definitely be back for more. Now let's get you home.”
When we pull up outside my apartment building, Luke insists on walking me all the way to my apartment door. Once there he leans in to give me a chaste kiss, promising to see me soon. As I watch him walk back toward the elevator, my heart is full and hopeful.
With a contented sigh I turn my key in the lock, the sound bringing a ridiculously excited Lily and Jas barreling toward me, firing off questions before I’m even through the door. Even worse, before I can shut the door, blocking out their squeals. I peer back around the doorframe to see if Luke is still in the hallway, hearing all this.
Yes, he's heard it all. There he is, standing waiting at the elevator down the hallway, laughing at the commotion going on in my apartment. I shrug, smile back, and he steps into the opened doors with a final wave and a blown kiss.
“You girls are so embarrassing,” I say, laughing now too, as I step into our apartment.
“Yep, but you love us anyway,” says Jas as she grabs my right arm and Lily grabs my left arm leading me to the living room to sit on our three-seater cream Chesterfield sofa.
“Whoa, girls, let me get changed first. I promise I'll be back soon, but I need to get out of this long dress.”
“Yes, you can do the walk of shame down the hall. You dirty little stop out.” Jas laughs.
Changed into my track pants and a baggy sweatshirt, I return to the living room. Jas and Lily are sitting waiting for me on the sofa, just where I left them. I get the feeling the girls want all the details, so I settle into the squishy green velvet single chair opposite.
“Go on then what did you do? Well, the bits you can tell us about,” Lily asks, waggling her eyebrows.
Jas glares at Lily. “What do you mean she can tell us about? She better tell us everything. In detail, please.”
“Well, it was all pretty special,” I start then go on to describe the ballroom, the guests. and all the other things I loved about the awards dinner.
