Raelyn: WHAT IS IT?! ALSO, WHY ARE WE YELLING?!
Olivia: Ooops lol. Uhhh, do you think we can convince your Daddy that a sleepover would be a good idea?
Olivia: I could really use some girl time tonight.
Raelyn: Um, well I’m not grounded any more and we do have to come pick you up tomorrow anyways for work.
Raelyn: I’ll ask…brb
Knowing that Emmett would give in to his fiancée's request, Olivia hopped out of bed and began looking through the closet.
She would need to pack clothes for tonight and work tomorrow, but also for this weekend.
Her stomach turned again thinking about staying this weekend at Miles house. She was conflicted by the emotions running through her.
One part was excited at the opportunity to spend time with him while the other was screaming at her to run the other direction.
Glancing over at her phone, she noticed that Raelyn had texted her back.
Raelyn: Daddy said yes! I had to promise an early bedtime tomorrow night, but it was totttalllllyyyy worth it.
Raelyn: I’m excited to have my best friend here!! I just got fancy new alcohol markers and Daddy says we can color for a bit before bedtime.
Liv grinned at her best friend's antics. This was exactly what she needed. Turning back to the closet she grabbed out all the clothes that she would need for the next few days and put them all in her magenta suitcase that she scored one weekend at the second hand shop in town.
Shooting off a text to Rae that she would be on her way in a few minutes and ordering a taxi, Olivia grabbed Nibbles and headed towards the door, turning off the lights on her way.
Dashing to the waiting car as fast as her little legs would take her, which wasn’t really fast since she was five foot two and had tiny legs, Olivia slid in and was on her way towards Raelyn’s house for what she hoped would be the best distraction that one couldfind.
Enjoying coloring time with Rae,Olivia was caught off guard by the question that came from her bestie's mouth.
“So, are we finally going to talk about the elephant in the room?”
“What do you mean? I don’t see any elephants in here besides your stuffie silly.”
Olivia hid her smirk when Rae let out a dramatic sigh. While she definitely didn’t want to talk about what brought her here tonight, she couldn’t help but poke at her friend just a tad.
“You know that Ellie isn’t who I was talking about. Can we talk about why you looked so shaken up when you got here this afternoon?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Everything is fine Rae. You’re seeing things.”
“You forget that I know you pretty well, Liv. So I know when something isn’t right with my best friend.”
Olivia knows that Rae isn’t going to let up and she was going to have to come up with a way to convince her that nothing was wrong and she was going to have to do it fast.
She had never been good at coming up with lies on the fly, but she hoped that today maybe that would be different.
“I’ve just got some things running through my mind. Nothing bad and everything is okay Rae. Pinky promise.”
“What’s running through your mind? Maybe it’s something I can help with. Or maybe just talking about it will help clear some things up.”
“Oh, it's nothing really. I’m just overthinking about this weekend.”
“Wait…what’s this weekend?”
Oh shoot. Olivia forgot that she hadn’t mentioned anything to Rae yet about Miles inviting her over for the weekend.
She had to give credit to Emmett though because Olivia was sure that Miles told him about his plans. Which means he managed to keep that from his Little girl and that was a miracle.
