Father leans into me, whispering in my ear. “You do whatever the man wants. I need his support.”

I don’t answer him, my eyes glued to the opposite side of the booth as I choke back bile.

He’s going to leave me here with this man. This man who keeps sliding his hand higher up my leg. Who obviously wants to steal my innocence.

Fuck.

I itch to pull out my phone. I want to beg Kai to come get me.

“I know you have gone on a date with Igor and he enjoyed you, but I think we would be better suited. What do you think?”

My skin feels slimy. My eyes flash over to Igor. His eyes are angry as he watches his father paw at me.

Seems Igor doesn’t like that his father is playing with his toy. Maybe I can use that.

“I enjoyed my time with Igor,” I manage to say.

Igor’s eyes meet mine, satisfaction behind them.

“Da, I know you find her enticing, but the leader requested me instead. Should we tempt his wrath for a piece of pussy?” Igor says, making me cringe.

His father’s hand clenches on my thigh so hard it hurts.

I know I’ll have bruises.

He responds in Russian and before I know it, they are arguing in a language; I know nothing about.

When they finally stop speaking and glare at each other instead, I speak up. “Would I be able to use the restroom, please?” I ask as politely as possible.

“Down the hall to the right. I expect you to come right back,” Ivan says, not taking his eyes off of his son.

I slide out of the booth, prying his hand from my leg. When I make my way down the hall, I don’t make eye contact with any of the other patrons.

Once inside, I look in each stall before grabbing my phone and dialing Kai.

“What happened? Why did your father leave you in there?”

I swallow hard at his hard tone. “I don’t really know, but I don’t want to be here. They are arguing over who gets me.”

He growls through the phone.

“I’m outside. I’ll come get you.”

My heart soars. That’s what I wanted, but logically I know he can’t.

“Wait, they will kill you.”

“I don’t care. They don’t get to have you,” he hisses.

“Kai, please don’t. I...” I choke on the lump in my throat. “I don’t know what I would do if they hurt you. You’re the only good thing in my life right now.”

I can hear him breathing heavily.

“Fine. I’ll get you out of there though. Stay safe and trust me.”

“Okay.”

I hang up the phone, putting it back in my purse. Then I wash my hands for something to do.
