This girl isn't playing around.

When Janet exits the elevator a few minutes later, she is immediately confronted by Samaera's furniture blockade.

I wish I had some popcorn right now. I chuckle.

Janet stops, caught off guard, sizing Samaera up. And Samaera gives her a few moments to do so before she rises and extends her hand to shake. "You must be Janet Brooks. I understand from Bastian," Hmm, Bastian. A wicked grin spreads across my face. "…that you will be reporting to me. It's nice to meet you." Her smile would launch a thousand ships, and Janet's expression would launch a thousand orcs.

Janet stomps forward but stops short of taking Samaera's hand to shake. Samaera tilts her head and says, "We can do this the easy way," she wiggles her fingers, and Janet glances at her offered hand. "Or you can refuse to play nice, and we will butt heads. But I'm here to stay. Don't think for a second, I'll run away. I enjoy a good catfight."

Janet's eyes narrow into slits, and if they shot lasers, Samaera would be dead. But she takes her hand and shakes it. Samaera's grip must be firm because Janet shakes hands like a man. Squeezing hard and pumping up and down, intimidatingly. But Samaera holds her own, making sure Janet understands she isn't a pushover. Janet is the one who breaks off the handshake.

The first round goes to Dixie Doodle.

Samaera says, "I'm not up to speed yet on The Wizard, but I'll make sure Bastian is aware he's holding up production."

Janet smirks, "I suppose you'll help him decide?"

"Of course, if he requires my input, I'll be more than happy to give him my opinion."

Her timer goes off on her phone, again blasting BLACKPINK - 'How You Like That' loud enough to wake the dead. She turns it off and says, "If you'll excuse me, Bastian and I have somewhere to be."

Janet finally finds her footing and says, "I need his answer tomorrow." Then withdraws a dildo from the box she's brought, tossing it on the desk. It activates and begins buzzing with vibration. Samaera stares at it as it wiggles around her desk, and Janet walks away laughing. "Have fun tonight. Barbie said it was a magic wand."

The second round goes to Janet.

Samaera watches it for only a second longer before she turns it off and smiles at Janet until the elevator doors close. Then heads back to me with it.

I close my computer and try to wipe the smirk off my face. She knocks on the locked door.

When I open it, she's glaring at me and has a choke hold on The Wizard. She shoves it at me and says, "It's too small." Then opens her hand and lets it fall. I reach out to catch it before it hits the ground. Then enjoy the view of her ass twitching to my desk.

"Too small?" I ask as she turns with the grace of a beauty queen. Then mimics my posture from before. She props her ass up against the desk and crosses her arms under her tits. Pushing them too enticingly up for my cock not to respond. Then crosses her ankles.

"Too small for me. There is no need for me to 'try it out' as Janet suggested."

I flip it end over end, catching it as I walk to her.

She adds while I prop up on my desk next to her, "She did say Barbie called it a magic wand, though. It's probably fine for most women."

"Hmm, probably." I roll it around in my hand and turn it on. It buzzes and vibrates. "We are limited by certain constraints as to what will work with our app. Our goal is to allow our clients more variety. What about the vibrations?" I cycle through the various speeds, watching her expression out of the corner of my eye. She's fixated on an imaginary target across the room.

"Did Chad try them out?"

I turn it off and set it on the desk behind us. "Not that I'm aware of."

"I won't be either," she looks at me. "Did he live with you too?"

I shift to study her face. Our eyes lock in battle.

"No."

"Why not?" Her eyes dare me to say the truth. But I don't. Instead, I deflect. "Chad lived in a decent neighborhood."

"So … the reason I'm required to live in your house is strictly based on where I live now? This arrangement is temporary until I can find a more suitable location?" She throws the gauntlet down.

I turn away and face forward again. Finding my own imaginary target to focus on. "No. It's one of the reasons, but not the only reason."

"What's another reason?" She glares at my profile, pissed off.
