“Hello, my bonnie wife. Did ye sleep well?” Highlander asked Pratt, leaning down to place a soft kiss on her lips.

“About as well as can be expected. You should have woken me up babe, so I could have dealt with the kids. You guys have been helping your dad with the daily chores, so he has more time to spend with you guys…”

“Ah but lass, the kids have been enjoying helping their grandda with the animals. The wee ones are getting some bonding time with their da’s so their mums can rest. Today is going to be a busy day for everyone. Now, let’s go feed the wee one, then grab a shower…” Highlander leaned into Pratt, moving his lips to her ears, “together”

Marcus winked at Raso, knowing she heard and knew what was whispered. Both men led their wives to their rooms, helped get the little ones taken care of before they took their showers. Both men took their time caring for their wives, treating them like the queens they were to them.

Once the men had their showers, spent some quality time with their wives, both men drew baths for their wives with special bath salts, candles, and a glass of wine. Knowing how their wives were, the two men had to tell their wives it’s part of their big surprise for their Christmas present the men were presenting to the two women.

When both women came out of the bathrooms, they were alone in their rooms. Both women had a large box laying on their bed with a note card on top of the box. When each woman opened their note card, they could only read with surprise in their eyes.

Lass,

ye have given me Christmas every day since the day we’ve met. Ye have made my life a miracle every waking moment. While ye have never asked for anything other than honesty, faithfulness, and love, I want to give ye something special that we have never done before. Put the dress on that is in this box, along with the matching shoes. Do ye hair up nice and all other things that ye would do for a special occasion. Once ye are ready, come downstairs and the magic will begin.

Love Highlander/Marcus

Raso hesitantly opened her box and gasped loudly at the dress inside. Leaving the dress inside, she ran to do her hair and make-up, knowing how Marcus loved the way she did them on the rare special occasions they do decide to dress up. Raso did her make up light, natural looking with eyeliner and mascara, and lip gloss. Her hair was curled, with the sides pinned to the top of her head, the back falling in curls down her back.

Walking back into her room, she finally took the dress out and had to gasp again when she got the full look at the dress. Her eyes got teary, threatening to destroy the makeup she had put on.

“Beautiful, isn’t she? Marcus had it specially made for ye when we decided to put this whole plan in motion.” Mary Catherine and Catherine stated as they walked into the room.

“I don’t understand?” Raso stated when she looked up, seeing two of her sisters-in-law in sleeveless tartan dresses that fit their forms, yellow plaid with matching broaches cinching at the waist.

“Ye will soon enough. Enough of the tears. We don’t have time to fix ye make-up. Come along now. Elizabeth and Kaitielyne are seeing to Laura.” Catherine ordered, her Scottish accent thick and strong.

Raso got her dress on, with the help of the two women. When they were done, she looked into the mirror. Her dress was white in the front. The back was a flowing mass of the MacCleod yellow/black/red plaid tartan from the waist down to the ground with a sash that went across the left shoulder down to the waist on the opposite side with a matching MacLeod crest broach that cinched at the waist like the other two women did. Raso finished the outfit out with the matching yellow plaid shoes that were included, which matched not only her dress but the dresses who two sisters-in-laws wore too.

Across the hall, Pratt couldn’t stop staring at the note. Opening the box, she literally had tears streaming down her face. She was so kicking Highlander’s ass when she saw him. Following his orders, she went to put her make up on, keeping it natural since Highlander didn’t like her with a lot of makeup on. She did her normal foundation, her eyeliner and her mascara, making sure it made her eyes pop like she knew would drive Highlander crazy.

Pratt curled her hair and then pinned it on top of her head, knowing that it would drive Highlander insane since he would be thinking of gripping the curly tail later on. As she walked back into her room with her underthings on, Elizabeth and Kaitielyne walked into the room.

“Ah ye are an evil one my dear sister-in-law. Ye know exactly what that hairstyle is going to do with my brother’s self-control.”

Pratt laughed, winking at Kaitielyne since she knew exactly why she did it. “Yep. What is this ass up to now?” Pratt asked, sighing as she stared down into the box

“Sorry lass, we cannot tell ye what he is up to, just that we are here to help ye get dressed. I can tell ye, the colors of the dress match the MacLeod hunting tartan.” Elizabeth winked at Pratt as she looked up from her dress to see exactly what the other two women were wearing.

While Raso had the yellow tartan colors, along with the two sisters-in-law who matched hers. Pratt’s helpers wore blue/yellow/green plaid tartan dresses that were sleeveless with their matching shoes.

Seeing that Pratt’s hair and makeup were done. Elizabeth and Kaitielyne helped Pratt get her dress on. The bodice of Pratt’s dress was the plaid tartan, sleeveless top, with the bottom of the dress form fitting in white. The train of the dress, underneath was the MacLeod hunting tartan pattern while the top of the train was white.

“Here are the shoes, which match the tartan ye are wearing. Highlander also stated he knew that you do not like wearing sleeveless dresses, so we had ye dress fitted with a jacket that snaps to the dress, so it looks like one.” Elizabeth informed Pratt as she took the jacket out, helping Pratt into it. The jacket, also white, had the tartan pattern at the neck of the jacket down to the lapels and the cuffs of the sleeves.

“Highlander also asked me to present this to ye, since ye dress doesn’t have a broach on it like Lindsey’s does.” Kaitielyne stated as she walked behind Pratt to place a MacLeod crest necklace around her neck.

“I’m so kicking his ass later.” Pratt mumbled, laughing when the two women with her burst into laughter.

When there was a knock at the door, Elizabeth clapped her hands, “As ye Americans say, time to get the party started. Shall we?”

THIRTEEN

Pratt followed Elizabeth and Kaitielyne out of the room, down to the kitchen where she saw Raso, Mary Catherine and Catherine. Both Pratt and Raso looked at each other in shock, before looking around the room at the four women in the room with them.

“Alright, spill the fucking beans. What’s going on?” Pratt demanded.

Before either woman could answer, Pratt and Raso had another shocking surprise walk through the door, Raso’s father, Jake Raso and Pratt’s brother Dominick Pratt, both dressed in kilts matching Raso and Pratt’s dresses, white shirts, a tuxedo vest, matching tuxedo jacket, a Scottish sporran around their waist. They also wore white socks with tassels that matched their kilt on the sides, the socks going up to the knees, and black dress shoes.
