“Hell, the asshole doesn’t even get him on his days when Ty’s not sick.” Diesel grumbled from the backseat.

“Tell me about it. Brocard wanted to go but she’s got little Ian and David has drill this weekend. Rameriez promised her grandmother she’d help her out with stuff around the house. She’s not a camping kind of gal any ways.” York laughed, shaking her head.

“Well, technically we’re not camping, the guys are. We’re staying in the house with Hank’s wife.” Cortez laughed, sliding forward to tickle Ryleigh.

“True, but I’m good with that. I did enough camping in the woods when I was in the Army. I’m good with staying at the house.” York said, glancing over at Laura.

“Amen to that!” Cortez agreed.

“Well, it worked out anyways. We have all the bags in this vehicle since there are more ‘boys’ going.” Laura sighed, looking in the rearview mirror at the second suburban following behind them with Highlander and the rest of the crew.

“Why are they following us instead of leading us?” Cortez asked, curiously, looking up from her tablet, reading the latest novel she got.

“Cuz he doesn’t want no one else in his wife’s ass but him!” Diesel laughed, shrugging when Laura glared at her in the rearview mirror.

“You’re lucky Ry has her headphones on watching her movie or I’d tell her father what you said!” Laura warned Diesel, smirking at her.

“I ain’t scared of squidward!” Diesel pouted, pulling out her phone and ear buds, ignoring her teammates laughter. “And, you know he’d agree with me anyways!”

Chapter 3

Two days in an SUV,eight hours each day, left Laura and Highlander with a pair of cranky twins who were ready to run loose the minute they arrived in Eagle Rock, Montana. Arriving at their rented cabins, they let the kids out of the vehicles to run while the adults unloaded the vehicles and got settled into their cabins.

They were lucky to rent three cabins next to each other for the next two weeks. Laura and Highlander had their own since the kids were with them, while the other two were dubbed as the ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ cabins.

“What time do we need to be ready to head to the Patterson’s tomorrow?” York asked, before heading to the ‘girls’ cabin.

“Sadie said we’d all meet up for a late brunch around eleven. Giving us time to really sleep in and the kids time to run some of their energy off before we had to strap them in again to drive over there.” Laura answered, picking up a grumpy Ryleigh who was pouting because she wanted to watch her favorite show, but her twin brother was being mean.

“That works. The boys leaving tomorrow too?”

“No, they leave the day after. They are only going camping for four days, I think.”

“Alright! I’ll see you guys in the morning.”

The next morning, everyone loaded back up in the SUVs and headed over to the White Oak Ranch to meet up with the Patterson’s. This time, the vehicles were driven with Highlander, Laura, the twins, York and Diesel in one vehicle, while Mac, Snake, Joker, twelve-year-old Cody and Cortez rode in the other vehicle.

Arriving at the White Oak Ranch, they saw Hank ‘Montana’ Patterson standing on the front porch waiting for them to get out of the vehicle, along with him were his wife Sadie, holding their newborn son, McClain, their daughter Emma, Hank’s sister Allie and her husband, Axel ‘Swede’ Svenson.

Once out of the vehicle, little Willy and Ryleigh ran towards Emma, talking and doing whatever it is that kids do when they want to play, causing the adults to laugh.

“How was the trip?” Hank Patterson asked, shaking hands with the men then giving the women a quick hug as they greeted Sadie, before cooing over the newborn in Sadie’s arms, and Allie. Swede following suit.

“Long!” Laura laughed, rubbing her protruding belly. “I know I’m only four months along, but this little one loves to sit on my bladder.”

“I remember those days very well.” Sadie laughed with Laura.

“I thought it was bad with the twins, but this pregnancy has it beat.”

“Maybe it’s triplets this time.” Diesel joked, jumping out of the way of both Laura and Highlander trying to grab her, laughing.

“Don’t ye dare wish that on my wife!” Highlander growled.

“Dude!” Diesel laughed. “Chill! I wouldn’t wish that on her, but we all know abou thow them squidward sperms are like a superpower of their own!”

“Nah, that’s SEAL super sperm!” Joker said, wiggling his eyebrows at Diesel.

“Gross!” Diesel groaned “Don’t make me lose my appetite dipshit! I’d hate to have to bury your ass on the Patterson’s ranch and ruin their grass!”
