Bria kissed her teeth. “No, that’s on you. I can’t help you with that. I’m just here for moral support.”

“Whatever.” Cali playfully rolled her eyes. “When is the grand opening? I need to get my fit together.”

Bria chuckled. “You sound like mama. She called me talking about she’s trying to coordinate her and Dad’s outfits.”

“Girl they about to look a country mess. Did you invite Enya?”

Bria pursed her lips. The relationship between her and Enya was strained. After their spat years ago, they hadn’t fully recovered. They played friendly for the sake of the family, but their bond hadn’t been the same.

“Mama told her, I didn’t.”

“Aww, don't do your favorite sister like that,” Cali kidded.

The women shared a laugh before Bria’s phone chimed.

Husband: Where u at?

“Damn, let me get ready to go before Lo come looking for me.”

“Y’all must got a date.”

Bria grabbed her bag and placed it on her shoulder. “No, his family is having a get together and I was supposed to be there hours ago.”

“Oh, well, let’s go before he pulls up on you.”

“I know right.” Bria laughed.

The sisters exited the studio and gave each other a hug. Bria then got inside her car and drove to Devyn’s estate. Cars were lined up everywhere, making it difficult to find a parking spot. When Bria parked, she got out and entered the house. Lo’s family was huge on Ada’s side with so many twins she had lost count. Getting to know them had been fun, especially with the colorful personalities they possessed.

“Hey, sis,” Tori greeted, giving her a hug with her protruding belly. “Your bad-ass kids just knocked over my plant and ran.” She laughed. “You tell them Auntie Tori, gon’ get they ass when I catch them.”

Bria gasped. “Oh, my God, Tori, I’m sorry. Let me pay for it.”

“Girl.” She waved her hand dismissively. “It was my small one. Plus, they're just babies having fun. Don't worry.”

“Okay.”

Bria suddenly felt a grip on both of her legs. She looked down and noticed her twin boys, Koda and Dallas, smiling at her. They were beautiful little beings who shared many similarities with their father. The only thing they inherited from Bria was her skin color.

When she found out she was having twins, Bria was elated. Her pregnancy had been good until her third trimester. She’d spend most of her days at home, tired and trying to keep her hips from aching. Lo had been a good partner, making sure to cater to her needs.

“Hey, babies,” she cooed, kneeling down to kiss them. “Did you miss Mommy?”

“Yesh,” they replied simultaneously.

“You guys knocked down Auntie Tori’s plant so say sorry.”

The boys looked up at Tori with the same eyes as Lo. “Sowry.”

Tori tittered. “They are just too cute. How can I stay mad?”

Bria stood up. “Where’s Lo?”

“They’re in the backyard.”

“Okay.”

Bria made her way through the house with Koda and Dallas right behind her. She spoke to several family members, including Dax who was engaged in conversation with Lo’s uncles.
