Until Andrej shifts just a bit and looks between me and Kai.

"What is it?" My mate asks as he strokes my thigh. "You have concern?"

Andrej nods then looks at Karel.

"While I was following Cyril's army they began to head west. Not just coming here but in search of something."

"Of what?" Kai tenses a bit but only a bit.

Karel shakes his head. "I am unsure but there was talk of making a stop in Europe, possibly France by the sounds of it and—"

"Havok?" Kai shoots forward and looks between his uncle and eldest brother. "Is it him?"

"Unsure," Karel grunts. "But I heard rumors in one of the smaller towns, whispered words of animals found in the woods completely drained of blood."

Um, what?

Who the fuck is Havok?

What kind of name is that?

What is the significance ofdrained animals?

And why do my mates' brothers look almost as hopeful as he feels?

"Havok is our brother," Kai answers my unspoken questions. "He is not dragon but he is our brother, our brother that has been missing to us for nearly three hundred years."

"You mean there's another one of you tall, dark, and broody boys out there somewhere?"

Kai smiles with a nod but Andrej, surprisingly, answers. "Havok is my best friend, our dearest friend, brother of our hearts, not blood. He fought alongside us for years, became part of our clan and after tragedy struck two hundred and seventy-four years ago, he vanished without a trace."

I look at Karel. "And you believe you've found him?"

"I believe I have a general idea of his current location. We have searched for him for centuries with no luck and I fear that Cyril has learned of his whereabouts."

"And you think he's going to try to recruit him? Or use him as bait?"

"Havok would destroy Cyril within seconds," Andrej growls. "He is loyal to us and us alone, would never entertain the idea of joining his army."

I nod and lift a hand. "I don't doubt that but I'm asking what you think Cyril would do and since your brother is loyal I'd assume they wanted him as bait."

"Obviously Cyril doesn't remember the last time he interacted with Havok," Milos snickers.

I arch a brow and look around, wait for some kind of explanation.

"Vampire," Andrej grunts. "Havok is vampire with untapped power. Last time he saw Cyril, Havok took him down in dragon form by himself using only his bare hands and fangs."

"Whoa." Cause I know how big dragons are, how big they are compared to men and if this vampire was able to do that then there is no telling what else he can do. Which is why I sit up and lock eyes with Andrej. "Go find him."

He looks at me for only a split second but it's long enough for me to understand he's confused.

"Go find your brother and bring him back here. If Cyril is onto him, even just to kidnap him as bait, then you need to find him first. And if he's that powerful, can take down an elder in his dragon form with nothing but himself as the weapon, then we need him here with us. It is for his safety and ours."

"It may not be that simple, beloved." Kai sighs as he scoots me around to face him; "There is very serious reasoning behind his disappearance. If Havok wanted to be with us at any point over the last almost three hundred years then he would have. He knows he is our brother, knows he is always welcome here but Havok has become rather..." he glances at Andrej then the others before Milos answers for him.

"Crazy pants."

Both of my brows raise then I frown. "How so? And why?"
