I didn’t tell her that tonight I was going to kill the man that gave me life. Kissing her one more time, she pushed me off. I looked at my son and left them in the bedroom. I grabbed my keys and phone and headed to Perc’s house.

“You aight?” Perc asked as we loaded our guns.

“Yeah.”

“Nigga, I know you lovesick and shit, but I need you to fuckin’ focus. Don’t let shit he say to you stop you from killing him. If you don’t, I won’t hesitate to kill his ass myself. I don’t give a fuck ‘bout the nigga. Pussy ass nigga killed my mama, tried to kill you, Blessyn and Merci. Wonder why he never tried me?”

“I guess that’s something you need to ask him when we get to him. Nigga house laid as fuck.”

“Yeah, he really went all out. He got a bitch laid up in there with him.”

“Yeah, I know. I paid her,” I told Perc.

Perc looked over at me and smiled. “I swear you be ahead of the game.”

“I put her on him right after I killed Khi auntie. The nigga weakness is pussy. She’s young so she was willing to do whatever for her bag. I paid her and I’m sure she been in his pockets too. He should be sleep. I gave her two pills to give him. It will slow his heart down. He won’t have the energy to fight back.”

“We gotta move smart. The nigga got neighbors, and we don’t know if any of them have cameras or if they are woke.”

“I say we wait a few more hours. You know muthafucka’s wake up before the sun up to walk them ugly ass dogs and shit. It’s one, let’s move at three.”

We both sat back ready to make a move at any moment. I played around on my phone, but my mind was on Blessyn. Wondering was she thinking about me or was she laying there not even thinking about me. Around this time, Kani was usually up for a quick feeding. I was about to text her, but Perc stopped me.

“Nigga, focus. Leave that damn girl alone. When this shit over, if you want her then work it out.”

When the clock in the car hit three, we climbed out of the car and headed to the back door that was supposed to be unlocked for us. With our guns cocked, we climbed the stairs to his bedroom. I pushed the bedroom door open with my gun trained at the bed, but the bitch was empty. It was made up like they hadn’t been home in a while.

“Check the other rooms,” I whispered.

The house was empty. I pulled my phone out to send the bitch a text. She played me and now she was going to have to pay for it.

“Let’s go.”

“We gotta get that nigga. You think ol’ girl told him?”

“It’s a possibility but I’ll deal with her. Let’s just sleep and reset.”

I was frustrated as fuck. Once I got him off the streets, I could move on with my life. I checked into my room which was only a few doors down from Blessyn and my son. It was for our protection. I wasn’t about to just put them up in a room and I didn’t know where my pops were lurking. I didn’t even make it to the bed. The sofa was the closest thing for me to crash on.

The next morning, I woke up around nine and hopped in the shower. After I brushed my teeth, I ordered breakfast. As I opened the door to retrieve my food, I noticed the cleaning lady down at Blessyn room. I sat the food down in my room and walked down there. I would’ve left her alone, but she was cleaning that bitch like it was empty.

“Where the lady that was in this room?”

“The one with the cute baby? She left a few minutes ago.”

“A few minutes ago? She not coming back?”

“No, she checked out.”

I rushed back to my room to call her. She didn’t mention shit to me last night about leaving. I paced the floor waiting on her to answer her phone.

“Hello.”

“Where you at?”

“Can I call you back? I’m trying to get your son in the car and he cranky.”

“You still at the hotel?”
