“Listen. Even I couldn’t stop them. They attacked Olivia outside of the school and I made them take me with them after I wouldn’t let go of the kids. I couldn’t even stop the two of them without having the kids harmed.”

I sighed and looked around, trying to find a way to escape.

“Tell me more about what happened. Tell me everything you can remember.”

“I was walking around when I came back out front and they were both beating the shit out of Olivia. The kids came out of the school and I ran over to stop them. I told the kids to run but Tessa grabbed them before they could.”

Beckett shook his head. “So I forced them to take me with them. School was just getting out, and I told them they either needed to take me with them or I would shoot into the school making sure the school set off the alarms and the place would be surrounded by cops.”

“Wow. Quick thinking.”

He shrugged. “Yeah. Also, heard some of the shit they plan to do.”

“Care to share?”

“Fuck... they’re gonna sell the kids. Sex trafficking.”

More tears flowed, “No... fuck!”

“But listen to me, Lily. It’s gonna be fine. Those kids are filled with trackers. They’ve got them in their shoes, backpacks, watches, anything and everything. Plus, I may have snuck a small tracker into Rob’s car.”

I slowly turned to look at him. “Well, shit. You’re like a little Moose.”

Beckett nodded. “He’s taught me well. I was a fuck-up, and he took me under his wing and has helped me out a ton. Him, Hawk, and Savannah. They’ve brought me into their little family.”

“They’re wonderful. The entire club is.”

“That they are.”

I sighed and looked around. “Now what? I’m not a huge fan of sitting around.”

“Now, we wait. Unless you want to get blown up, just sit your ass still until your knight in black leather comes to save you.”

Chapter Twenty

Moose

Mavhadjustfinishedgiving orders out as he banged the gavel on the large table.

“We find these kids fucking now. Whoever took them is dead. Let’s fucking go!”

We all rushed out, and I found Sav sitting at the bar, a puzzled look on her face. I walked over and took a seat next to her.

“You doing okay?”

She shrugged. “I’m scared.”

“Me too, babe. Hey where’s my woman?”

“Oh, she ran out and said she had an emergency client. But she hasn’t answered her phone and her only‘emergency’clients are Hope Hearted women. And we don’t have any new people…”

I sat down and pulled out my phone, bringing up the security app. I clicked into the cameras for Lily’s office and searched for the time she should have been there. I didn’t see her car or anything so I pulled up her number and pressed call.

Her phone went right to voicemail, and I just felt that something was off. Lily always kept her phone on even when meeting with high-risk clients.

Sav cried, and Hawk pulled her into his arms. “Don’t worry, baby. Everybody is gonna be fine. We’ll find them all.”

Mav came over and tapped me on the shoulder. “What’s going on, man?”
