“Come on, Samuel,” she cooed, her hand reaching out and splaying across my thigh. “I’ve realised that I’ve been focused on the wrong Santino man, I’m not a silly little girl any more. I mean,” she said, her hand raising further up my thigh, “you want me, right Sammy?”
I looked over at her, her emerald green eyes sparkled as she bit her lip.
“Well, you have me. So, what are you going to do with me?”
She squeezed my thigh and I shook my head again, looking straight ahead. This was so stupid.
I looked at her again, and sighed.
“Fuck it,” I said, reaching out and grabbing her by the neck, pulling her close and kissing her deeply. She chuckled against my mouth as we kissed, and she tangled her fingers into my hair.
I had fantasized about this exact scenario since I was a teenager, and here it was.
But still, something didn’t feel right.

Chapter 19
Livie
Iheld two coffees as I walked into the workshop.
After working until three a.m last night, I knew that I would need both of them today. I nodded a greeting towards Zeke and turned the corner.
“Ohh,” Danny said, “is one for me?” he asked, reaching out to grab one of the cups.
“Touch my coffee and I’ll scream.”
“Fuck, Liv,” he chuckled and stepped back.
“I’m tired. Sorry. I was at work all night,” I said.
“Oh, sorry we missed the show,” he teased, wiggling his eyebrows.
“You wanna wear this coffee, Dan?” I snapped, fake throwing the cup towards him.
I chuckled as he flinched.
“Don’t be silly,” I elbowed him on my way past. “I wouldn’t waste my coffee on you.”
I made my way towards the office, kicking the door open with my boot.
“Good morning, Liv,” a deep voice came from under the hood of a car.
Sammy stood, wiping his blackened hands into a rag and looking me up and down.
My breath caught in my throat as he wiped the back of his hand across his forehead, his bicep flexing underneath the sleeve of his shirt.
God, this man was beautiful.
“Morning,” I managed, before turning and closing myself into the small office.
I placed down my cups of coffee and unpacked my things, laying them out on the desk neatly. I had already decided that today was the day.
I was going to get what I needed out of these trackers, so I could finally be out of here. Things could be over and I could move on.
I opened my laptop and prayed for something, anything.
