Did I hurt them? What have I done? Panic wells inside me. I worry, but wonder if this could be a mate thing? It happened when I wanted them.

“I’d like to know what that was too,”Osen says in my mind.

“Get in line,” I mutter.

“If there is a queue for your affection, I’ll gladly buy tickets for that train,”he retorts in a frisky tone.

I roll my eyes. But his joke relaxes me, just as he intended.

Flint recovers first and cups my cheek. “Are you alright, my mate?”

“I think so.” I cover his hand with mine. Well, what I can cover, given his hand is so much larger than mine.

Still on top of me, Maxum braces himself on his elbows to relieve most of his weight from crushing me. “It felt like you tried to pull my soul out through my dick.”

I wince. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to.”

“I’m not complaining.” Maxum slides backward, but only enough so his hips are between my ankles.

“What was…” A disheveled Calder appears in the doorway and doesn’t finish his sentence when he sees me between my three guys. His striking blue eyes hungrily take in my naked, recently fucked body.

I’m splayed out and exposed. I have an urge to cover myself, so I move to pull my knees together.

Calder growls.

Okay. Apparently, he doesn’t like that.

“I thought you didn’t want?—”

“It doesn’t matter what I want. Ican’t.” His hand drops to cover the tent in his pants, then he hurries away to the outer door.

I lurch to go after him, but all three guys place a hand on me to stop me.

“Calder, wait!”

He’s already opened the door, but I hear him pause and sigh heavily. “I just need a moment. I won’t go far.”

“Okay,” I whisper and settle back on the bed. When I hear the door shut behind him, I ask, “Is he going to be alright?”

“I expect Calder is overwhelmed with a lot of emotions he’s finally having to deal with,” Maxum says with a frown. “Let him work some of them out.” He kisses my inner thigh. “He’ll come to you when he’s ready to talk about how he feels.”

“I wish I could do something so he didn’t hurt so much,” I say.

Arran kisses my neck. “He has to meet you at least halfway… like I did. You helped me just by being you and accepting me with all my broken pieces.”

“You’re not broken,” I protest.

“Not anymore.” He grins widely, then kisses the hell out of me.

“Arran’s correct,” Flint says. “Your very presence seems to be enough to heal. And Calder has the worst past of us all.”

“But he’s not what I’m interested in right now.” Maxum gazes at me, his obsidian eyes glowing with a fire I’ve not seen before. “We need to know how you almost took our souls right out of our bodies.”

“I didn’t mean to!” I gasp, sitting up and leaning against the headboard. “Did I hurt you?” I grab a pillow and hug it to my chest.

The guys all grumble when I cover myself.

Maxum realizes playtime is over and slips his pants back on. “It felt odd but didn’t hurt. I don’t think you were trying to kill us.”
