I smile lightly, and then I stare into the eyes that have never been anything but comforting.

“I’m not going anywhere, Brazen,” I murmur softly, and then I huff, “Other than Seminole apparently.”

He can’t restrain his laughter, and he takes my hand before opening the door to his very sexy two-door car. It’s black and blacked out all over, and the interior continues the solid color scheme with the black leather. I roll my eyes, and then I snuggle against him once he sits down.

“I take it you did a lot of shopping when we split up,” I mumble, and he chuckles lightly.

“I might have. Like you said, it pays damn good to be a captain,” he smolders out, and then he pulls me to be in his lap while cranking up the car. “I told you I was going to hold you all the way to Seminole, and I meant it.”

I smile against his neck, and then my teeth lightly scrape against his skin.

“You might regret giving me full access to your blood anytime I want it. I’m a hybrid you know?”

He smirks before cutting the headlights off, and his eyes burn their night vision glow as he focuses his attention on me instead of the open road ahead.

“You’re addictive, and I fucking love it, so no regrets.”

I pull my grinning lower lip between my teeth to offer him my mischievous stare, and then my teeth break the flesh just as Berimond falls out of sight.

Brazen. Definitely Brazen.
