I nod with a smile, and he laughs while shaking his head and pulling on a shirt.
“I knew that was a good investment. I told you I had all my stuff delivered… including my cars. I drove one of my cars instead of the bike because of the distance. I knew I’d have to pull over several times to find shelter while the sun was in full glow. My car has automatic tint.”
I frown slightly, and then I kiss his chest through his shirt.
“I’ll help you pack,” I grumble, and he laughs again.
“I keep my bags packed while on detail in case I have to move quickly. Sorry babe, we’re going now.”
I scowl at him, and he pulls a strap over his shoulder before pulling me into his arms.
“Those girls downstairs are going to love me now,” I grouse while staring at my just-fucked hairstyle.
He laughs ferociously loud, and then he kisses the top of my head.
“They don’t give a damn about what people do here.”
“They do when they’re gushing over Captain Mordel,” I snark, and he laughs even harder.
“You really are back - cute jealous bone and all.”
I unsuccessfully try to stifle my grin, and he pulls my hand in his while leading me out the door and down the stairs.
“You didn’t even take the time to put on shoes?” he muses while staring at my bare feet.
“You’re just now noticing that?” I say to keep from answering his question directly.
“Well, when you showed up, my eyes never made it that far down,” he smolders out.
“Stay here with me, and I’ll put on a really good show,” I seduce, and he groans out his frustrations.
“I thought the interrogation room was the only place you didn’t fight fair,” he gripes, and I laugh lightly while we enter the lobby.
“Captain Mordel,” the full blood receptionist gushes out while tossing her hair nervously and giggling out her girlish excitement.
I roll my eyes, and then I try to hide behind him to keep my shady appearance from being so displayed.
“I’ll be checking out now, and I need a driver to carry a vehicle to Seminole.”
My lips graze his back, and his hand holds mine tighter as the desire to be close becomes almost painful. We shouldn’t have left the room so soon.
“We have a delivery service that travels that distance. I can charge your card on file,” she perkily delivers.
“No, that’s my work card. This is a personal matter. Just use this one,” he murmurs assertively while handing her his card, and now I definitely feel like a bought-and-paid for booty call.
Sheesh.
“Yes Sir,” she mumbles, and her eyes glance very disapprovingly toward me.
I huff out my agitation, and I see Brazen struggling to stifle his grin. She hands him back his card, and then she glares at me with disgust oozing from her pale eyes. He sets the keys down on the counter in front of the woman refusing to stop acting as though I’m the devil’s vixen.
Brazen turns to take my hand, and then he jerks me to his body to deliver the most passionate and incredibly inappropriate kiss to silence the death stares of the intrusive eyes. I smile against his lips, and then he walks me out while continuing to pull me into the most deliciously sublime kiss.
“Can I tell you I love you, or is it too soon?” he murmurs softly while pushing me outside.
“You can tell me, but I don’t know if I’m ready to say it back,” I mumble guiltily.
“You don’t have to be, baby. I just don’t want to scare you off.”
