Have you ever wished the hand that constantly wraps around your throat would squeeze just a little tighter, hold your head down in his lap a little longer so all the hurt, pain and torture would seep away just like your last breath? Those three words say it all. On the outside, I paint a picture of Happiness, Confidence and Strength. Inside I’m a fraud, but I have no choice. It’s a double-edged sword that keeps slashing through the wounds I try so hard to heal.
Secrets. Blackmail. Murder.
It’s senior year, and even that comes with a price. I’m tired of living a lie, tired of being everyone else’s puppet. I want out. I want out so badly that I’ll do anything to get out of this town, even if that means selling my soul to the five Cyprus Brothers of Daggerspoint.
