He took her mouth in a gentle kiss, but she wasn’t in the mood for gentle. She was wild. Her hands pushed into his hair, her mouth sucked on his lower lip, her tongue pushed past his lips, stroking his tongue until he was as wild with need as her. He pulled off her top and shorts and touched her core. Fuck. She was wet and ready for him. He spun her around, bending her against the kitchen counter, positioning her the way he wanted. He slipped out of his trousers and sank inside her tight, velvety heat.
“You okay?” he asked.
She pushed against him in reply, holding onto the counter tightly. That was all the permission he needed to slam into her again and again. Soon, she was whimpering, moaning his name. He bent forward and pressed his thumb to her nub. That’s it; she came undone around him. Her body vibrated; her core clenched around his hard length. He thrust harder into her, faster, unable to control himself. His vision darkened, and stars burst behind his eyes. The most intense orgasm took over him as he spent himself inside her, completely.
His breathing was still ragged when he finally came to. He pulled out of her, and she stood to wrap her arms around him.
“Did I blow your world this time, Princess?” he asked.
“A little.” She pressed a kiss to his lips. “Let’s take a shower and try it again for me to judge.”
“God, you’re really making me work for it, aren’t you?”
She angled her head. “Are you complaining?”
He touched his nose to hers. “Never.”
Taking his hand, she led him back to her bedroom and into the shower.

Rajiv entered his home with Sheena by his side. His parents and Navya were seated in the living room. Seeing Sheena with him, Navya smiled. Then she saw him wearing the same clothes from last night, and her smile brightened as she figured he’d spent the night with Sheena. She exchanged a knowing glance with their mother, who was also grinning from ear to ear as she, too, came to the same obvious conclusion. She shared a happy smile with his father, who looked delighted, too.
He exhaled. When he’d brought Sheena here, he’d done so only wanting her to have a healthy, nutritious, home-cooked meal, and because he wanted his sisters to apologise to her. What he hadn’t factored in was his family’s reaction.
Fuck. He really ought to have thought things through a bit more. But now, it was too late. And looking at the happiness on all their faces, they were clearly delighted by the turn of events. He’d never shown any signs of settling down, he’d never brought a woman home before, and so, of course, they’d think there was something happening between Sheena and him. An ache bloomed in his chest, knowing that, at some point, he’d have to dash all their hopes.
Ananya appeared from a corner. Seeing him with Sheena, she rushed to her, pulling her in her arms, hugging her tightly.
“Sheena, are you okay?” Ananya asked, and then she burst into tears. “Please tell me you’re okay and unhurt. I was so worried about you. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for everything.”
“Hey, hey, it’s okay,” Sheena consoled her. “I’m fine. See, I’m perfectly well.”
Ananya studied her from head to toe. She turned to look at him, but Rajiv threw her a hard glare. She shrunk, backing a step. She gave him a pleading look, but he was not in the mood to simply forgive her. He was extremely mad at her.
At his prolonged silence, Ananya whispered, “I’m sorry.”
His mouth tightened. “What am I supposed to do with your sorry? Forget that you gate-crashed a party, and not just a random party, but one thrown by the most dangerous men we know of? You escaped from that yacht, but you left your sister and Sheena behind.”
“I didn’t want?—”
He cut her off with a slash of his hand. “Actions speak louder.”
“Rajiv, I asked her to run,” Sheena interjected gently. “She had a chance to escape and get help, and that is exactly what she did. That is why Navya and I are here, unhurt.”
He breathed out and addressed his sister. “I lost several years of my life after your phone call. What you did was extremely foolish. Are you that desperate to get an interview with Mihir Oshnov that you put yourself and others in danger? That, to me, is the definition of being selfish.”
Navya approached him. “Rajiv, do you remember the guy from her college in the UK? The one who died?”
Rajiv narrowed his gaze on his middle sister. “Why are you bringing that up now?”
“Mihir Oshnov is that guy…” Navya revealed.
His eyes widened, and then fear for Ananya settled in his belly.
“How dare you keep that from me?” he yelled at her. “Is that why you want an interview with him? Do you want to rekindle your affair? Are you still in love with him? Do you even know how dangerous he is?”
Sheena put a hand on his arm, gently squeezing it. When he turned to face her, she gave him a soft look. “Calm down. She’s already hurting, and your shouting is making everything worse.”
