“Because you’re as dumb as Sadie said you were,” smirked Ham. Davis tugged on her braid, and she let out a small yelp. Ham sobered, staring at the other man. “You might want to look at these live photos.”

Ham pressed something on his phone, and behind them, on the screen on the wall, were Temuk and Altem, waving. The men were beneath the water, right next to the coral reefs. The vivid colors of yellow, orange, green, and blue seemed almost too bright to be real.

“That’s not possible,” whispered Davis.

“Magical things happen every day,” said Jak. Davis stared at the goliath. “Let’s just say we know someone with amazing abilities.”

“Enough! You’ve proven your point. I won’t get out of here alive, but neither will she.” Lifting his knife high in the air, he yanked back on Sadie’s head, the blade tip coming straight down toward her throat.

“No clear shot!” yelled Nathan.

“Me either!” said Jak.

Sadie stared at Ham, mouthing ‘I love you’ as he screamed for the others to kill him. He reached for the knife, but before one shot could be fired, suddenly Sadie was free, and Davis was tackled to the floor, a huge fist slamming into his face.

“Are you alright, young lady?” asked the man. Sadie stared at the man, nodding, and then looked at Ham.

“Dad?” said Ham with surprise.

“Oh, hello, Hamish,” he grinned. “I suspected this was your woman the way you were staring at her from across the room.”

“Dad? What are you doing here?”

“Well, you always liked visiting this place as a kid, so I thought I’d pick up a couple of trinkets for you before I came down for the holidays and your wedding.” Sadie took off, wrapping her arms around Callum McDonald’s neck.

“Thank you,” she whispered, kissing his cheek. “Thank you.”

“Well,” he chuckled. “You’re most welcome, my dear. Any young woman that can make my son this happy is always worth saving.”

“Uh, you wanna stop kissing my dad?” smirked Ham. Sadie laughed, leaping into Ham’s arms. She looked down at the bloodied face of Davis Myer, then at the massive fist of Callum McDonald.

“I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” she grinned.

“Nope. Dad always had bigger hands than me,” smiled Ham. Magnus and Rory lifted Davis off the floor, and Sadie couldn’t help but chuckle at them with their bare chests and legs, their arms flexing.

“Little girl, if you ever try to look up my loin cloth again, you’re gonna get the surprise of your life, and old Ham is gonna be pissed off at me.” He winked at her as she giggled, covering her mouth.

“I’m sorry, Uncle Rory. It was just a joke.”

“Yea,” he frowned. “I need to find my damn pants.” Piper was grinning at her husband, holding his and Magnus’s pants. Securing Davis with zip ties, they got dressed behind the exhibit and then joined the others.

“What do we do with him?” asked Sadie.

“Against my better judgment,” said Nathan, “we turn him in to the federal authorities. Some nonsense about us killing too many bad guys. Bodwick and the new president want us to start with a clean slate. He didn’t say how long it had to last.” He frowned, and the others shrugged their shoulders.

“Well, Dad? What do you say to a private plane ride for the holidays?”

“Anywhere you and this beautiful girl are, I’m happy to be there.”

Christmas was always a crazy, loud affair, but this year, it seemed to have special meaning. Pierre, Wyatt, and Joey added the touch of childlike wonder that they all needed. Spread between the island mansion, Belle Fleur, and Belle Île, they found a way to all meet up in the cafeteria and enjoy the festivities.

Ham surprised Sadie with her engagement ring, a solitaire emerald cut stone more than two carats. Her surprise for Ham was a little less traditional.

When they’d returned from Colorado, Sadie knew that she couldn’t wait for Ham’s body any longer. What if she never got the chance to be with him again. What if something had happened to her, and they weren’t able to consummate their relationship.

No. She wasn’t going to do that. She was going to give herself completely to Ham. For forty-eight hours, they remained at the mansion, making love in every room they could. It took her body a few tries to fully take Ham’s thick cock, but when it did, she screamed with joy and delight. Her body responded unlike anything she’d ever experienced before. Eventually they had to rejoin the team and civilization. It was disappointing and wonderful all at the same time.

With Christmas upon them, the festivities were in full swing and Sadie could not have been happier that she was home and with her family.
