Somehow, he’d found himself alone with Derek at their table. Allie and Michelle had long since stumbled out of the restaurant, giggling and holding each other up as they made their way to their room. Sadie had gone… somewhere. Likely to find some mischief if past behavior were any indication.

“What did I think of what?” Eyeing Derek over his glass, Nick took another sip of the wine he’d been nursing throughout dinner. Unlike the girls, he had to drive home, which meant he couldn’t afford to indulge, as tempting as it was.

“Michelle. She’s lovely, isn’t she?” Derek was eyeing him right back, obviously gauging his responses, spoken and unspoken.

“She is. And very much in love with her equally lovely girlfriend, Derek.”

“I’m aware. They make a striking couple.”

“That, they do.” So what the hell was he getting at?

“Allie is signed up to spend most of her time in the Littles’ program. Judging by how well she and my Sadie hit it off, I wouldn’t be surprised if she spends most of her time here with a sore bottom. Michelle, however…”

“She’s a Domme, right?” Yet another reason they weren’t meant to be.

“A switch, technically. And she’s looking for a Dom to play with while she’s here.”

“Really?” Now that was interesting. She was still off-limits romantically, but Nick would be the worst kind of fool if he turned down a chance to play with a woman who looked like that just because it would only be a one-night thing.

Especially since he wasn’t supposed to be looking for anything more permanent right now, anyway. He was far too busy during the holidays to get tangled up with someone.

“I’ve read over her file. I think you two would be a good match. You should ask her if she’d be interested in a scene.”

Curious now, Nick leaned in, resting his forearms on the table. “Why do you think we’d be a good match?”

“I’ve seen your file, too,” Derek reminded him with a smirk. “And you and I have spent enough time together for me to get a sense of what you’re looking for. She doesn’t strike me as a brat, but she could give you a bit of a challenge. It’s been awhile since she submitted to anyone, so she’s not used to being on the receiving end these days. I imagine it’s going to take just the right amount of firmness to give her what she’s looking for.”

“And you think I can give her that?”

“I do. You have just enough sadist in you to keep her in line, but you’re also soft enough to ease her back into things. I think you’re perfect, but if you’re not interested—”

“I never said I wasn’t interested.” Picking up what was left of his wine, he swirled it in the glass as he considered what Derek was saying. “I’ll want to see her file before I make a decision.”

“Of course.” Leaning down, Derek picked Sadie’s purse up off the floor and pulled a folded stack of papers from the small bag. “Here you go. Take it home with you tonight, look it over, and let me know in the morning. If you really aren’t interested, I need to know as soon as possible so I can have this conversation with the next person in line.”

“I’ll let you know first thing. Thanks, Derek.”

But even as he stood to leave, he knew it was all just a formality. There was nothing that could possibly be in that file to keep him from getting his hands on Michelle.

Once he was home, a cursory glance at her survey confirmed his thoughts. Settling into the large, comfortable armchair in his living room, he scanned the checked boxes before moving on to the more involved questions.

Not only was there nothing alarming, it was like she’d been made for him. Their interests aligned so perfectly he could have filled it out himself, just obviously in reverse.

It was the section where she expanded on what she was looking to get out of her experiences at the Ranch that cinched it for him. Even though the answers were fairly straightforward—ropes, spanking, oral was a yes, plugs and other anal play were okay but not anal or vaginal intercourse—there was something in the overall tone that called to him. An eagerness, like someone who had been dieting for months and knew they had a cheat meal coming up. Well, he was happy to be her indulgence, if she would have him.

The only thing that would have made the arrangement more perfect would have been for Allison to be included. But beggars couldn’t be choosers, he supposed.

Chapter 5

Allie

“Are you sure you want to do this? We could go exploring together, maybe hit up the gift shop instead. I’ll buy you whatever stuffie you want.”

Biting back an annoyed sigh, Allie smoothed out the plaid skirt of the schoolgirl uniform she’d been issued for her day in the Littles’ Wing. “I’ll be fine, Shelly. Don’t be such a mother hen.”

“You know I can’t just turn it off. I worry about you, babygirl.”

“And you know I’ve been wanting to spend time with other Littles forever.” When Michelle’s reflection joined hers in the full-length mirror, Allie leaned back into her and smiled. “I promise I’ll be fine, and I’ll be on my best behavior.”
